“Disappointed”
Reviewed 14 October 2013

My daughters and I were looking forward to having a scone and a cup of tea but unfortunately were put off by the prices and the attitude of the person in the tea room. She paid no attention at all as to who should be served next but just asked anyone in the line. We had been waiting for at least 10 minutes and someone who had just arrived was served first. We were not happy, leaving the tea room and vowing never to go back.

“Huge assortment of fresh-baked gluten-free desserts for Celiacs in Niagara-on-the-Lake”
Reviewed 13 October 2013

We stopped here for lunch before seeing a show at The Shaw Festival after hearing it accommodated gluten-free needs. We were shocked by what we found. The place is tiny, but nearly everything on the short menu is gluten-free, and it's great. But the best part of dining here is the desserts. The entire pastry cabinet was filled with fresh-baked, mouth-watering sweets. Don't miss it.

“Cozy Patio with Home Cooking Delights”
Reviewed 12 October 2013

Great place to stop in for lunch or afternoon tea. Everything is local and freshly made in their kitchen. Try the homemade soups or one of their many sweet treats. You will not be disappointed!

“Something for everyone including Gluten-free desserts!”
Reviewed 10 October 2013

We have been to this tea room a number of times over the years and are never disappointed.

It may be a bit hard to find, as it is located at the back of the Irish Design store -- a small sign in the window tells visitors there is a Tea Room inside.

A wonderful pot of tea, tasty lunch items, and delicious gluten-free (or not) desserts make the trip to NOTL perfect.

Many of the desserts remind me of my mother's cooking (she was N.Irish), particularly the GF mincemeat tarts (I always get more than one and take some home!). They manage to make flaky, tasty, GF pastry -- not an easy task!

It is small with limited table space but worth the wait (if there is a wait).

Reasonably priced, particularly for this touristy area.

“Wonderful and charming tea room”
Reviewed 9 October 2013

Went for a delightful lunch in the Irish Tea Room. Being gluten free it was wonderful to be able to enjoy a care free lunch with no worries. I had the quiche with broccoli and a choice of two salads.
Everything came out warm, fresh and appealing looking. I did not have the desserts but the choices were numerous for anyone that is gluten free. They also sell gluten free baking items too. Don't expect it to be inexpensive. My lunch with the quiche, salad and coffee was $18.00. A great spot to meet friends and have a wonderful luncheon.
