“Brilliant!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 October 2012

This B and B is immaculate. We stayed for 4 nights at the end of September and were very well looked after by June and Zoli. It was a pleasure to meet them both. The house is in a very quiet neighbourhood, a walk away from the main street of Niagara on the Lake and beautifully maintained. We were very well fed at breakfast and when we (sadly) left we were sent on our merry way with delicious homemade muffins and fruit to snack on. June and Zoli were very helpful with their suggestions for places to eat and day trips out. They are the right people in the right job!

Room Tip: We had the Willow Suite which was lovely

Our first experience at a B&B at the Lakelands set the bar at the top! Niagara-on-the-Lake is a beautiful setting.and the Lakelands make the experience complete. We can only echo other reviews. Immaculate, comfortable and great food. June and Zoli were great hosts, providng tips for saving money, getting around, and warm conversation. The breakfasts were wonderful. We only wish the weather had allowed us to enjoy the beautiful garden!

Another trip to Niagara-on-the-Lake and another great stay at the Lakelands Bed and Breakfast. We stayed 2 nights in the Linden Suite and the other couple we were with stayed in the Birch Suite. The Linden Suite was spacious and had a gorgeous decor with shades of ocean inspired blue (see pics) . The bathroom has a nice clean modern look and included a jacuzzi tub which was enjoyed 1 night. Multi-course breakfasts included artfully prepared fresh berries with yogurt, baked peaches, eggs benedict, and a melt in your mouth quiche. In addition, we had a person in our group with a Gluten sensitivity which they were ready to accomodate for with delicious alternatives including gluten free bread/pastry (see pics). Zoli and June were gracious hosts who provided us helpful advice on Niagara on the lake and great conversation during breakfast. Location is great for exploring the shops and restaurants (we had a great meal at "Rest" Stone Road Grill, Ravine was great for lunch as well). Don't miss the newer Colaneri italian inspired Winery (Lakelands provides tasting passes at check-in). I'm sure we'll be back soon to visit our friends Zoli and June.

This caught my eye because of the absence of frou-frou that seemed so typical of other places. It was classy and delightful -- with wonderful hosts and sumptuous breakfasts! June's preparation an presentation are superb, and Zoli is the perfect host. We enjoyed having them sit and visit when breakfast was over. Convenient location. Highly recommended!

Room Tip: The Birch Room was very pleasant.

We stayed two nights at Lakelands while attending shows at the Shaw festival and thoroughly enjoyed it's beautiful contemporary and relaxing ambiance and the attractive landscaping. Our suite - The Willow was immaculate, spacious and comfortable with it's big King size bed. We appreciated the quality linens and robes provided for guests and the good size bathroom with it's air jet tub. June and Zoli made us feel very welcome and were delightful hosts who we enjoyed chatting with after the wonderful breakfasts each morning. Breakfast was a delicious balance of juice, a fresh fruit course, an egg dish with accompaniments and home baked muffins bread and coffee which set us up for the day! The mini fridge in the common guest seating area was stocked with bottled water and was useful to store the few perishable items we had with us. Lakelands location in a quiet crescent of newer homes is a convenient few minutes drive from the centre of town and the Festival Theatre and June gave us a map showing the free parking areas and some good suggestions for dining.
I can't think of a single thing that would have made our stay more comfortable and look forward to staying there again when we are next in Niagara on the Lake. Thank you June and Zoli!

Immaculate, absolutely delicious breakfast, hosts are welcoming, informative, friendly but also respectful of each guest and their needs/space. Bikes, coffee all day, candy and beautiful grounds. Highly recommended.

We have tried many different hotels, inns and bed and breakfasts in Niagara on the Lake. and finally we have found the perfect one. Our room, the Willow Suite, was just perfect and the location is fantastic. There is even a small refrigerator in the upstairs seating area between the three rooms for the guests along with plenty of bottled water. A nice touch.

The only drawback here is that breakfasts are very sumptuous which means that we had to do a lot of walking to work them off! One morning when I wasn't feeling well I did not go to breakfast but asked my husband just to bring me back a piece of toast. June put together a lovely tray including some fresh fruit and brought it up to me. Zoli and June made our stay very comfortable, they are outstanding hosts.
