“Very nice”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 December 2013

Very comfortable room, bed was awesome, bathroom totally awesome. A few minor details: hallway smelled strongly of cigarette, heating system was a bit noisy. There were roses everywhere, some people like roses, some of us feel uncomfortable about the impact of this crop on the environment in developing countries.

Dear valued guest - thank you for taking the time to post your review here on TripAdvisor. We take all our guest feedback seriously and wanted to respond to your feedback. We are sorry that you smelt smoke in one of our hallways. Queen's Landing is 100% smoke free in all of our guestrooms, restaurant, lounge and public spaces. If there was a guest that perhaps smoked in their room during their stay, we would have brought in a professional air purification machine to eliminate the smell immediately after the smoke was detected.

In terms of our roses - we have a supplier that provides fresh roses year round grown in greenhouses that bring beauty and elegance to our hotel. We are sorry that you did not enjoy seeing the roses when you were.

Please do come and visit us again soon.

Happy Holidays,

Lily Kszan

If you're considering visiting Niagara-on-the-Lake and looking for a location that will not only take your breath away but one that will also set the benchmark in quality and service, then search no more - you've found it in the Queen's Landing.

I recently hosted an elite event at the Queen's Landing and with the number of moving parts involved in ensuring an amazing experience for my guests, it is crucial to have excellent help - that's where Teri Canestraro came in. Amidst all of the changes, requests, and particulars that a group of almost 50 requires, Teri came through in a big way - she found a way to make me look good in front of our guests...and that's tough to do! But seriously, regardless of what I threw at Teri, she responded promptly and ensured that all was taken care of. I'm sure that all of the Conference Services staff are amazing, but I'm certainly glad that I was able to work with Teri as she was after perfection every step of the way.

During our stay, we were treated to some absolutely incredible experiences in both the Bacchus Lounge and the Tiara Restaurant, highlighted by the service of some amazing staff. You can imagine that seeing a group of over 40 walk through the doors at once could be a daunting experience, but Ric, Maegan and Erika were incredible in dealing with our group. If you have the pleasure of dealing with any of these great people you'll see what I'm talking about. After indulging in some delicious appetizers (you have to try the scallops!) and a strong selection of drinks, we moved next door to the Tiara restaurant where the first-class service continued. We've been fortunate enough to be hosting our event at the Queen's Landing for a number of years and so we've come to know a lot of the staff - specifically Rudy. Rudy continues to set a standard in service that is matched only by his colleagues - Rose, Shelly, Michael and Lorraine. I am unable to mention everyone, but I can assure you that no matter where you are in the Tiara, you will be treated as if you are in fact, royalty.

If it's a conference that you're hosting and need the use of a meeting space, then you are in luck at the Queen's Landing. We hosted meetings in both the Scarlet Meeting Room and the Imperial Ballroom and both were perfect for what we needed. The Audio-Visual team is diligent in setting everything up to your needs, and with that in place, it's easy to host a top-notch event. Anyone who has ever booked a meeting space for any reason knows that the space itself is only as good as those working with you to ensure all runs smoothly. Paul was excellent in stopping by on a regular basis to check in with us to see if there was anything we needed, and was always quick to respond to any request - you just don't find that at all locations.

Now for a question - how often have you left a hotel room and been greeted by one of the cleaning staff? I'm not talking about a simple "Hello" either, but a sincere "Good Morning!" followed by a "I hope that you have an excellent day!" That is exactly the type of great start to the day that I was welcomed with by Liz - and on the days that I had the responsibility of running my meetings, it was incredible to see that someone could take the time to ensure that I wasn't stressed and was ready to begin the day on the right foot. But again, this is just the type of first-class service that you can expect from the Queen's Landing.

Of course, the service-focused culture has to start somewhere, and it is clear that it begins with General Manager Lily Kszan and Sales Manager Jennifer Smythe. These two women embody what it means to put the customer first and it shows in every facet of the property and in every action by the staff. Both Lily and Jennifer are exceptional at making you feel that you truly are part of the Queen's Landing family, and it was certainly felt by our team and more importantly, our guests.

In closing, I cannot stress enough just how unique the Queen's Landing really is. The hotel and property will bring you there, but it's truly the staff that will keep you coming back. I challenge you to give them an opportunity to show you just how great they really are, and I know that you will not be disappointed. Whether it's a weekend getaway or a conference for 100, the Queen's Landing has the staff, the service and the amenities to ensure an experience that you won't forget.

Room Tip: I don't believe that you'll go wrong with any room within this immaculate property, but room...

I stayed at the Queens landing for a weekend on a conference. We had an all inclusive type deal that included all meals for our stay. The check-in service was quick, polite and painless. The rooms were simple yet elegant and very clean. The deaning person did a fantastic job. All staff at the hotel were very nice. The food was AMAZING, especially the Sunday brunch. The only minor issue I have would be the repetition
issue would be the repetition of food. Lunch and dinner were essentially the same ingredients/ menu.

Dear valued guest - I wanted to thank you for your posting here on TripAdvisor following your company off site. It sounds like it was a productive conference and you were impressed with our team members and their service, In terms of the meals, we do have rotating conference menus each day of the week to ensure a nice variety of meal choices. I will ensure that I speak to the culinary team about the meals to ensure that this doesn't happen again.

We hope that you will come and stay with us in the future!

Yours in hospitality,

Queen’s landing is the ideal location for a company offsite. Beautifully situated adjacent to the Niagara River, Marina and historic Fort George and 5min walk to downtown of Niagara -on-the-Lake. The hotel is a grand Georgian-style mansion with elegant décor. The interior is flooded with natural light, which pours in through the floor-to-ceiling windows. The Scarlett O'Hara entrance is inspired by a sweeping staircase surrounded by marble floors and stained glass accents which define the Queen's Landing as a mansion with style.

Rooms:
I had the pleasure to stay in one of their suites and it was an absolute delight. The room was very spacious included huge queen bed with a stool to climb as well sofa and fireplace and full on bathroom which included glass shower and whirlpool tub. It also included the usual desk, TV ect.

Definitely recommend just for the experience.

Room Tip: Rooms are older but well kept. if you can afford the suite definitely advise you do and if not try t...

I have never experienced a staff so helpful and focused on attentive service as I did at the Queen's Landing Hotel at Niagara on the Lake. We had two bartenders named Ric and Michael who were friendly, courteous, attentive and just a lot of fun. At dinner, our server Rose was as good as it gets. She was polite, attentive and just generally professional. The hotel and restaurant was beautiful. The food was fabulous. And our experience was made that much better by the service we received.

Me and my significant other stayed here twice, we enjoyed it both times. The staff was friendly, and the decor of the rooms and hotel, was classy and very nice. We will come back here if Prince of Wales is full, Queen's landing is a close second in my opinion. If you are in the area you need to dine at Tiara its connected to Queen's landing, it is our favorite restaurant in the area. The food is delicious, and inside there is gorgeous stained glass like in a church it was a nice experience overall.

Room Tip: Dine at tiara if you stay at the hotel

Our organization often holds large events at the Queen's Landing. We always receive excellent service. The hotel has an elegant and warm ambiance which is enhanced by the exceptional customer service of the staff, from the event coordinator, Tiffany Sacco, to Paul, Arthur (from the Tiara restaurant - who anticipates your needs) to Jennifer and Karen. The Sunday brunch is not to be missed! If you are considering hosting an event in the Niagara region, do it at Queen's Landing, I recommended! Hild

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a fireplace and do explore the Niagara region!
