We always like to stay at small boutiqe inn while on holiday and Oban is the best at Naigara-on-the Lake. The facility is clean and provide Gilchrist & Soames soap, shampoo & lotion. It offers great fall special for overnight stay with spa treatments & continental breakfast. It would cost twice as much in Toronto! The staff are helpful and nice! Highly recommended" We just came back two weeks ago and thinking of going back soon!!

We had a great time at the Oban Inn. Our room was very cozy and relaxing. We took advantage of the spa. I had a great massage and pedicure as well my husband used the steam room both days we were there. The staff was exceptional, the front desk, the dining staff, the spa and the cleaning staff. NOTL shops are just around the corner from the Inn. We are looking forward to going back. Unfortunately the weekend seemed to fly by.

Room Tip: I read about which were a good choice but I just decided to wait and see what we got. Our room #6 ha...

We came for a few days with another couple for a wine tasting weekend. The Oban Inn and spa is a great choice. It is close to the towns shops and restaurants (a few blocks) but it feels like you are away from the action. The Inn itself is very zen. You are relaxed the moment you come into the lobby. We were upgraded to a deluxe room in the main building. The rooms are small but well appointed. It is nice that they saved room for a nice sized bathroom and it was worth it to have the little sitting room off the bedroom. We were in room 10. I think the rooms towards the lakeside front of the Inn would have a better view. The breakfast is complimentary and a nice way to start your day. Very English - cold meat, toast, fruit, hard boiled eggs, pastries - all served on a tray at each table.
We ate elsewhere for dinner. A few great places to try- Garrison House, Ravine Winery Restaurant and Zees Grill (make reservations).

We had a few days vacation before starting a new job, so decided to book a nice three day get-away to Niagara-on-the-Lake. We didn't want to stay at a big hotel, so when we found a room at the Oban Inn and Spa, we jumped at it. The Oban Inn has only 27 rooms, and when we were there only 7 were filled (it is definitely off-season). The room we had (which was an upgrade) was wonderful. A very cozy room with an incredibly comfortable queen size bed.
The inn is very much geared towards adults. While we didn't use the spa facilities, there is a great looking spa on the premise. And this also gives the inn a very tranquil feeling. For us, a continental breakfast was included in the cost of the room, and it consisted of hard boiled eggs, ham, toast, juice and croissants.
The location of the inn is great. It is very close the water, and off of the main road of the town, so it has a quiet feel, but you are only a few blocks away from the stores and restaurants.
There are also plenty of wineries to visit if you are so inclined. During the spring-fall months, the Shaw Festival is also going on.
Even though it was off-season and some of the facilities of the inn were not open (the outdoor pool and jacuzzi), we found November a lovely time to visit. There were still some leaves on the trees, and the temperature was great for walking around the town. In the past, we had only walked along the main downtown street, But on this trip we walk along many of the side streets and got to view some beautiful homes and old buildings.
There are also some great restaurants in the town to go to (Treadwells and Stone Road Grill), and others a short drive away.
I was a little turned off when checking in as the front desk staff seemed distracted and unattentive. But after that, all was good. And it would have been nice to have small fridge in our room, but the staff was very good at providing cream and milk for our coffees and teas.
I highly recommend the Oban Inn for a relaxing and romantic getaway.

Room Tip: Its a small hotel, but I would recommend getting your room on the top (3rd) floor. We did hear more...

Two years ago we stayed at the Oban Inn with a group of guests that had attended our daughter's wedding. We had a wonderful time and since then have intended to return for a second visit. We love the location, size and atmosphere of the Inn, and the personal touches that Celia and her staff provide for their guests. It was so nice to be acknowledged as returning guests, have turn down service (you don't see that very much anymore), and see that they now have a healthier breakfast offering served at the table. We were in a deluxe King room and had more than enough room, a very comfortable bed with deluxe linens and great pillows. The renovations that have been done to the rooms have modernized them, yet kept the charm of an old Inn. The rooms looked meticulously maintained, as did the grounds of the hotel. All of the staff were so friendly..the housekeeping staff even offered to help us down with our luggage! Our evening meal in the dining room was very enjoyable. The server was very efficient, the food tasted wonderful and was presented very artistically. The only thing we noticed that seemed out of place (and we are being picky here) is that the server in the breakfast room (although very friendly and efficient) was a bit too casual with the guests. We actually started counting the times she said "No Worries"..and "Uhuh". The dining room is set with nice linens and the way the breakfast is presented we felt she could have used a more refined approach. We are already planning our next visit and hoping that we can take advantage of the spa at that time.

Room Tip: We appreciated having rooms both times that faced Gate St. and which had views of the lake as well.

I recently spent two days at the Oban Inn for a company retreat and can't wait to return. The guest rooms were cozy and inviting, the meeting rooms were lovely, spacious, and quiet, and the food and attentive staff were great. Next time I'll have to make time for the spa (which I've heard is wonderful!)
