Owner description: Andrew Peller was one of the founding fathers of Ontario wine; today his namesake winery remains a family-owned enterprise - focused around the grand winery, showpiece barrel cellar and gracious Peller Estates Winery Restaurant (helmed by Chef Jason Parsons). Food and wine pairing themes are mainstays in the chock-full seminar and event calendar. Peller Estates' full range of Private Reserve whites, reds and sweet wines by Winemaker Katie Dickieson are always rich and approachable, while the Signature Series features age-worthy reds, award-winning Icewines and the unique Ice Cuvée sparklers, sweetened with a touch of Icewine.

“Definitely worth while!”
Reviewed 10 November 2013

As soon as you walk in this place you experience a luxurious wine estate atmosphere. Staff is friendly, but might benefit from a slightly more pro-active stance towards visitors. You can taste everything they have on stock and tastings are deducted from your purchase grand total.

This winery is on the Niagara wine route with several wineries close by, and can be perfectly combined with a trip to the falls.

“Didn't Know Canadaians Had Vineyards and Made Wine”
Reviewed 26 October 2013

Quite an eye opener. Never heard of Canadian wine. Was amazed at the number of vineyards that dot the landscape; and the many varieties of wines that are produced. Peller Estate is a fun place to sample different wines. Staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Worth a visit!

“Nice tour. But it isn't actually where the wine is produced.”
Reviewed 19 October 2013

We went on our tour on a beautiful warm October day. The winery consists of a huge building with forty acres of grapes. The tour was decent and we got to try three samples of wine. The wines were delicious, but when we went upstairs to the shop we stopped dead in our tracks. The ice wine we sampled was $90 a small bottle. We could not believe the prices. The wine is not even produced there. It is processed at the other winery owned by the same company. Kegs were stacked below ground in a huge room that had "plastic" columns. The whole thing felt fake. We did not visit any other wineries after that. And.... we received a free tour where you would pay $10 to visit. I don't believe it is worth that much. I have toured wineries in Spain, Portugal and Greece. They are way better than this one.

“Winery Tour was great”
Reviewed 16 October 2013

We toured the Peller Estate Winery because we received two recommendations from merchants in town that this was a wonderful family run vineyard. The tour was wonderful and we had the opportunity to taste 3 different wines. I'm not a wine drinker myself, but I did enjoy the ice wine. It was a beautiful day and our tour guide was great! Definitely worth stopping in!
