We loved this small winery that specializes in fruit wines and wish we could have brought more back to the states.

“Small , Different and Delicious”
Reviewed 6 July 2011

Southbrook Winery, 1425 Lakeshore Road is a small winery which specializes in berry and tree fruit wines almost exclusively, such as peach, raspberry, black currant, and the like. They also do a chocolate and raspberry wine called Chocolate Embrace. If you like a tart wine, you'll find it here. If you like a sweeter wine, then their Supreme line will suit you.

We were three of us, and we shared tastings of 8 samples, at $1 each. It helped us make the decision to buy the Peach Supreme wine, $17. They also sell chocolate-covered cherries from their own orchard. They are $2.50 and delicious as well as a bargain.

One thing to note is that their tasting room is very small. They even have a sign on the door, "Please, only six people at a time." They do have washrooms facilities, but it comes with instructions because it is an outdoor, wood privy!
