Description: At Ravine we are blessed with a culinary program that has a lot more to offer then just talented cooks in the kitchen. We are among the few self standing restaurants that bake our own bread, raise our own pigs, grow our own certified organic vegetables while pairing our meals with the guidance and discriminating palate of a wine maker and in house sommelier. We are extremely proud of our service team and confident in the level of hospitality that will be shown to your table whenever you choose to dine with us at Ravine.

Even though it was around 2:30pm the restaurant was still very busy! Luckily there is still one table by the window next to the kitchen window that they could sit us.We had a late lunch before going back home to Toronto and have dinner with our friends. So my husband and i share a first course chicken liver parfait and second course wild mushroom and leek tart. They are really tasty! Creamy rick chicken liver pate, and really refreshing pickel fennels and the basil mutard seed with nice baguette. The tart is light and balance saltyness with honey. We had enough just with two courses!

My wife and I stayed in Niagara on the Lake over the weekend and chose to try Ravine for dinner. We were a little disappointed- we had hoped to try the wines in the tasting room prior to dinner, but it was closed due to a private event. Dinner, however, gave us encouragement and a reason to return and try it again for the wine AND the food. Our waitress was really great and allowed us to try a couple of the wines at the table before ordering that they made and we were both really impressed with the Sand and Gravel Riesling and the Gewurtz. I chose to have a glass with my meal and we ended up taking two bottles of riesling home with us. My wife decided to try their sloe gin fizz. (They allow you to buy the wine at their store retail price from the table after your meal if you want to.) They make a lot of their own meats, bake their own bread, and do a lot of pickling/canning so we tried the charcutterie board for an appetizer and were not disappointed. The bread was also excellent. My wife chose to try the cornish game hen and I had the lamb shank. Both were excellent in preparation and execution of the dish. The desserts were solid, and different. It was an expensive outing but the service was great, and it was something we both left saying we would definitely return for. We also will be returning to try more of their wines as well...

Spent a wonderful afternoon catching up with friends from London. Waitress was awesome, charcuterie board appetizer was great to share, Butternut squash soup delicious (not too heavy), all dinner choices very good. 2010 Mellot very nice; good value. Take advantage of ability to take receipt for a free tasting next door.

The location is very nice, the service efficient but the choice available on the menu is so limited that they really cannot show off their wines and amongst our friends some struggled to even find a dish to eat. Provided you are not "picky" then I would recommend going particularly if you are a wine buff as those we sampled were very good. If the menu improves we will be back otherwise it's just another winery with a restaurant tacked on trying to contain food costs by a restrictive menu.

Went to Ravine for the winey tasting, and stayed for the soup and coffee.
It was probably the best bowl of soup we've ever had!!!
Unfortunately we had a late breakfast, so we couldn't eat more; but having said that we'll be going back for sure.
