We stopped here for lunch rather than our usual lunch favourite, Epicurean. It was attractive and on the other end of the strip. I had the Mexican salad, which turned out to be iceberg lettuce with pot roast on top. It looked and smelled as revolting as that sounds. There were bottled jalepeno peppers on top--how much would it cost to use fresh ones when they keep so well in the fridge? But the whole Mexican salad was so awful that it needs to be completely rethought. If this was someone's interpretation of Mexican shredded beef, it didn't work--no flavour, spices or other fresh ingredients on the lettuce to make this in any way appealing. My husband had a pizza which looked and tasted below average. We were the only customers and he got a dirty look and attitude from a middle-aged staffer (can't use the teenager excuse for her!) when he asked for a straw for our drinks. We later saw the staff refilling the container that was supposed to hold straws, but had obviously not been refilled from the day before. Unfriendly and bad food. We won't ever return.

Found this place to be an excellent local choice for good, but quick service. Order at the counter and food is brought to the table. The vegetarian chili was superb and the drinks very well made.

Taste reminded us of Cafe 10 in Stratford. Sandwiches, wraps, salads and flatbread pizza are all made to order with fresh ingredients. We ordered the quiche with caesar salad and a BLT on toasted bagel. The quiche was loaded with turkey, ham and another dozen ingredients. It was a generous deep dish slice. The caesar salad came out with dressing on the side and included bacon bits and grated parmesan cheese. The BLT was nothing special but tasted good. Taste is a reasonable cost alternative to the high priced restaurants in town.

Taste is in a great location and has a good exterior look on the street. We went in because the menu looked interesting. You place your order and you get a number at your table so they can bring your soup or sandwich to you. Then you have to get up and get your plastic cutlery and napkins.
They are trying to have to look of high end food but serving it in a cafeteria style. The staff is all young people that seem to be lacking a manager that could give better direction for handling complaints. While i was sitting there two different tables complained about their orders.
I ordered the soup and a latte as it was a cold day. The soup was like dishwater broth with nothing in it.
I think this place could be turned around if the quality of the food they sold was improved. If you sell soup and sandwiches just make them delicious and people will come back.

I stopped in here for breakfast over the weekend. Parked in a lot nearby - wish I had walked a bit further down the road before committing here. Food was average. Service wasn't the greatest. Breakfast was pricey. Wouldn't go back.
