“Lovely establishment”
Review of McFarland House

I went with a girlfriend to have lunch and when we looked at the menu we decided on the high tea menu. It was excellent. As we did not have reservations we were lucky enough to get thier last table at that time. The service in getting our good was slow but we realized the girls are making everything from scratch in the back, no premade sandwiches. The setting is lovely there and then you can take a historical tour of the home. Check this place out if you are coming to Niagara on the Lake.

We came here for "Tea" (late lunch). It was beautiful, the food was excellent and the tea and service...outstanding. This was one of the highlights of our trip.

The menu had enough variation that if a person in your party wants a more traditional lunch, they can choose from several options. They also have several wine selections. Service was attentive without being rushed. We had several adjustments in our orders and the staff handled it perfectly,

The tea was served in these "press" type containers. It really enhanced the flavor of the tea.

You do not need to pay admission to this site to have tea/lunch at the restaurant so do not be scared off by that.

Went twice for soup and quiche - beautiful atrium to sit in outside and watch the world go by in the lovely setting of a park.

Great place to go.

We enjoyed lunch in the charming tea house, guided tour of 1812 home and lovely gardens. A pleasant two hours.
