“A must stay in NOTL!!”
Reviewed 13 July 2014 via mobile

We spent the weekend at 627 and it was a great experience from the moment we arrived. The rooms are huge, clean and very quiet. Maurice had the fridge stocked with beverages and snacks that really went above and beyond. Our breakfasts had gorgeous presentation, lots of variety, had fresh fruit and was always hot and delicious. We were provided with complimentary vouchers for tastings at many of the local wineries, and were able to get tips on restaurants to eat at and places to see in the area. The location of the house was a quick 10 min walk into downtown and provided ample parking. The price was absolutely perfect for all this bed and breakfast has to offer! We will definitely be back!

As others have said, the breakfasts are phenomenal and so are the extras such as the fruit and yogurt. There's also immediate access to the bike trail. Maurice also had complimentary wine tasting tickets, great suggestions for dinner, and was truly interested in providing any service or information to enhance our stay. I do not think there could be a higher quality B & B in NOTL!

For the past three years we have had the pleasure of spending three nights at 627 on King with Maurice Tarlow as our host. The accommodations are terrific, with a refrigerator stocked with fruit and yogurt, and other snacks and a comfortable bed. But, best of all are the breakfasts, which are served in your room and which are made to order and truly delicious. Each of the four members of our party has had a different breakfast, ordered in advance, ranging from poached eggs to pancakes, eggs Benedict and kippers. Breakfast also includes freshly cooked vegetables such as mushrooms or tomatoes. All in all, Maurice provides a wonderful B&B experience for his guests. The best B&B ever!

627 on King is an awesome B & B in the heart of NOTL wine country. Maurice, the host, makes sure you are pampered and is an excellent concierge! His breakfasts are amazing and the fridge is stocked full of fresh fruits, yogurt and yummy treats for the nosher! The rooms are quiet and romantic and minutes from downtown and wineries. You will not be disappointed!

We returned to this B&B for a second visit earlier this month and this time we brought along my dad and his companion for a 2 night stay. We all wished it could have been longer. Maurice's hospitality is second to none and as before the rooms were spotless and the fridge well stocked with fruit, juices, and other goodies. We had 2 delicious breakfasts chosen from an extensive menu which Maurice was kind enough to serve to the 4 of us together in our larger room. We don't know how he manages to turn out 4 completely different hot, delicious, and beautifully presented meals with all the fixins' at the same time with no help whatsoever. Maurice passed on some complimentary wine tour and tasting tickets and we took his suggestion and took the tour of the Reif Estate Winery which was wonderful and informative. We plan to return to NOTL same time next year and would not consider staying anywhere else but 627 on King. Thanks again Maurice for your warm hospitality. I agree with a previous reviewer that you should be dubbed Sir Maurice - so consider yourself knighted in Canada!

Room Tip: The Algonquin suite is lovely and very large.

We have stayed at over a dozen B&B's in Ontario and this is the first where we could tailer breakfast to our best options!!! Just plain great place and Maurice is tied for first place of B&B hosts we have experienced. Close to everything, quiet, spacious and essentially perfect. Stay here, you will be glad you did.

Awesome hosts, excellent service and the best breakfast you'll ever have. We were greeted very warmly upon arrival and the fridge was stocked with fresh fruit, juices and water. the hosts were helpful in recommending various wineries and restaurants to visit. Very good value especially in comparison to other hotels in this area.
