Service was great.
They reserved restaurants and a wine tour for us months in advance.
They only serve breakfast and it was a small but more than adequate buffet which is included in the price of the room.
Rooms were very large and clean.

The hotel is quaint and lovely. A little pricey but worth it.

I would not hesitate to book again.

Room Tip: As always, stay away from elevators.

My husband and I spent the weekend of Sept. 6-8th 2013 at the Harbour House for our 30th anniversary.
The hotel is more like an elegant but quaint Inn with a very relaxing atmosphere and the staff are very accommodating and friendly (especially Jillian).
Rooms are large and very nice. Breakfast was great!
The location is perfect to walk by the river and also to the downtown area.
We will definitely stay at the Harbour House again!

Room Tip: We stayed in room 108 on the main floor. Has a Juliet Balcony facing the road/river. Very nice room.

We went here to celebrate a speacial occasion and had a really great time. The atmosphere was laid back but efficient - it was non intrusive but not impersonal. We took a map from the front desk and walked the wine trail. They also helped set up dinner at the Charles Inn for us - which was also great.
The wine and cheese tasting in the afternoon was interesting and the cookies and apples available in the lobby were a nice touch. The Harbour itself is a nice afternoon opportunity in the summer

We stayed here for 3 nights while going to plays at the Shaw Festival and visiting wineries. We liked this hotel and the breakfast was great. Would likely stay there again.

We had stayed in the Shaw Club Hotel a couple of years ago and overall prefer Harbour House. The rooms are much larger and the breakfast was better. The bathroom was more private. When booking this time the prices were pretty much the same for both hotels (with breakfast) and we chose Harbour house because the breakfasts were more to our liking. Shaw Club is slightly more central which might be a factor if it rained but Harbour House offers a shuttle service.

Thank you for taking the time to reflect on your recent stay. It is great to hear that you have stayed at one of our sister properties and now tried Harbour House. Our evening shuttle service is definitely a favourite on a rainy evening.

I look forward to the opportunity to say hello during your next visit.

Sincerely,

Niagara-on-the-Lake has a whole host of quaint venues in which to rest one's body. However, one such place not to be missed is the Harbour House Inn on Melville Street. This unassuming 30 room inn offers pleasantries from check-in to check-out. The staff is ever gracious and accommodating; the rooms filled with luxurious amenities (whirlpool bath, gas fireplace, chaise lounge); the morning breakfasts and afternoon wine tastings gastronomic pluses. This was my first stay at a place I had visited several times before. I will not fail to book a room at the Harbour House Inn whenever I find myself in the area again! Worth every penny--Wonderful!
