Applewood Hollow is well worth the visit! Close to Niagara-on-the-Lake, but far enough away to escape the tourists! :)
We loved the Willow room.
This is an excellent place to just relax, read a book, tour the wineries, or catch up on much needed sleep (we visited right after our wedding).
The room and accompanying facilities were spotless. Food was fabulous and Jane had some fantastic stories about the surrounding area.
Jane is an extremely knowledgeable hostess who truly goes the extra mile to make your stay enjoyable.
I would certainly recommend Applewood Hollow to others.

We have stayed at Applewood Hollow for several years and would highly, highly recommend it. Summer is absolutely breathtaking with Jane's garden and pond, winter cozy and lovely. The gorgeous loft rooms have private terraces for relaxing, eating, reading, overlooking her incredible gardens. Her food is amazing, everything homemade. Lots of preserves and freshly baked goods every day, often made with fruits and vegetables from her garden. Jane always goes above and beyond, incredibly hospitable and welcoming.

We stayed at the Applewood Hollow for one night--July 2, 2006---Hostess Jane was very warm and shared many interesting stories about the area and Applewood Hollow...we stayed in the Willow room--private bathroom downstairs with a sitting area with loveseat...and private deck with bistro table and chairs and view of the gardens...upstairs in the loft is the bedroom with queen bed--TV but no stations--can use as VCR...
Clean....
Common area outside the room--kitchenette with table and chairs--frig--sink--dishes..
Had nice breakfast --served in common area -- of homemade waffles with strawberries and whipped cream, ham slices,, croissants and jam..coffee and orange juice..
Only one other room sharing the common room--Sumac room--only 2 rooms total ..
In a residential rural area but quiet..
A good choice for those liking a bed and breakfast experience but also a little more privacy..
