We spent 3 days at the Grand Victorian and loved our stay. The large old house was full of character and felt very inviting. We stayed in the West Room and our friends stayed in the North Suite. We both liked our rooms and were very comfortable there. Breakfast was excellent every morning with a nice variety of items and a different main dish each day. The hostess (Eva) provided an excellent history of building. We enjoyed several bottles of wine and cheese plates at the Reif Estates winery right next door (steps away, so no driving is necessary). We borrowed some bikes from the B&B and rode on the trails along the river one day. If you like B&B's you should be very happy choosing this as a destination.

We went to Grant Victorian for a wedding and also checked out all the rooms there. It is such a lovey place to stay and is very close to the river and bike path. The Inn itself is very nicely preserved with all the antique and classic furnitures. It will be my place of choice to stay over some other fancier venue in the area just for its charm! The food for the wedding was just one of the best I have tasted for any big function. The vegetable, fruit and salad are cooked to perfection and extremely tasty. The main course was well executed and the salmon was so delicious.

I would highly recommend this place for a weekend stay, big outdoor function and group meal. :-)

My husband & I have been visiting the Grand Victorian several times a year since 2011. We have always enjoyed our stay. The location is terrific, Eva is so very helpful and sweet, and our rooms have always been clean & comfortable. Her recommendations for dinner have been outstanding. Brunch is huge and the homemade dishes are wonderful. It's fun meeting and talking with other guests and you just feel so welcome here. We will continue to stay here when we travel to Niagara-on-the-Lake. It's great to step back in time and enjoy the home and the winery next door!

Last year my sister booked me several places that we could have a romantic dinner for 30 in NOTL, when we stepped into the Grand Victorian Eva was so pleasant. We had it between two places and once my husband (Fiance at the time) stepped into the Grand Victorian I could tell by his smile this was it. We were told there would be a wine makers dinner where the Chef Robin Howe would be cooking so we decided before we made our final decision we would have a taste of his pairing menu. We were delighted that the food matched the ambiance of the Grand Victorian.

We rented the home for our intimate wedding reception and each and every guest said that is was the most memorable evening. They still talk about it!

We pulled up in the evening after our church ceremony to the candle lit home and you could feel the years of love, family, laughs and the guests were immediately astounded with the champagne and appetizers served on the front veranda.

We had our florist drop by and put some arrangements up, Eva was fantastic and got us beautiful gold bamboo chairs, wonderful antique plates and wonderful candelabra’s.

Their were so many quality wines we decided to also serve it at our 300 person wedding which was held a few days later at a Golf Course.

We just stayed at the Grand Victorian for our One year anniversary and are so happy that we have this time together to play cards with candles listening to old records with no distractions. We biked into town on the amazing bike path along the escarpment (Only about 15min), and had a wonderful gelato at Nina's and shared a Crepe from Joe (She was an apprentice there and so kind). Archie at Reif told us to go to this little treasure Cheese Secrets in downtown and we got some Reif raisin/walnut bread, grabbed a few bottles of wine and some delicious cheeses, smoked salmon and jelly and had a wonderful afternoon snack on the front veranda where we chatted with an amazing couple who comes to the GV seasonally. I read a few of the other reviews today and thought - maybe your relationship is doomed to fail if you can not find romance in such a marvelous lovely B&B, however realizing that's not so nice I'm guessing that if you were expecting a pretentious stuck up space than this is not the place for you. We are so lucky to have had discovered such a jewel and look forward on spending many future anniversarys at the Grand Victorian :)

Our Bed was cozy and rooms spotless.

Robin Howe was fantastic with working with our requests Here is a copy of the menu he put together with us:
First Course-
CARROT, GINGER AND ORANGE “CAPPUCCINO” BISQUE WITH BRIOCHE CROUTONS AND SMOKED PROSCIUTTO CRISP
WINE PAIRING: CHARDONNAY RESERVE, Fermented and aged in new French and American oak baroques, this wine has fresh, clean aromas of pear, green apple and vanilla bean that carry over to the palate.
Second Course-
SEARED SESAME AND GINGER CRUSTED TUNA ACCOMPANIED BY A CRIST SUSHI RICE CROQUETTE, BABY GREENS AND A WASABI AIOLI
WINE PAIRING: GEWURZTRAMINER RIESLING, Aromas of peach and apricot and hints of ginger. Tropical flavors with a touch of sweetness.
Main Course-
RACK OF LAMB “CHOP” IN A REIF KILN DRIEN RAISIN, RED WINE AND MARSALA SPIKED REDUCTION WITH CARROTS AND AN ASPARAGUS, MUSHROOM, PARMESAN RISOTTO

WINE PAIRING: LATE HARVEST VIDAL, Beautiful aromas of apple blossom, peach and delicate floral notes. The palate is layered with ripe peach, honey and dried apricot. The acidity is fresh and lively which gives a nice elegant finish.

Beautiful B&B with a lot of character. Very close to the main strip of shops and restaurants in NOTL. Right next to Reif Estates winery. We wanted a bottle of wine and the owner just gave us a bottle of hers since the winery was closed. Breakfast was amazing - delicious! Rooms were so cute. We really enjoyed it!
