“A Real Gem”
Reviewed 4 July 2014

We were looking for a mini getaway and could not have been happier with our choice.

Paul and Leah are very welcoming hosts and by the time we left we felt like we had made new friends.

About the place..... When you drive in you will see the beautiful landscaping over the entire 5 acres. Muskoka chairs are positioned under beautiful trees, perfect for a relax after a busy day visiting wineries or sightseeing in NOTL.

If you prefer to sit around the pool or play a game of tennis, it's all there for your use.

Our room was perfect. Beautifully appointed and impeccably clean. The linens and towels are very high quality and the bed very comfortable. There was even a hair dryer provided just in case you left yours behind.

The food.....amazing and delicious . 3 course breakfast including warm freshly baked croissants , fresh fruit prepared beautifully, eggs, bacon, jams, orange juice and fresh coffee.

Don't be concerned that it is not in NOTL. We preferred the open space on a dead end street. The drive was only 25 minutes thru wine country.

You get a very Big Bang for your buck.

Thank you Paul and Leah for a very memorable stay.

Room Tip: All the rooms were very very nice.

We were delighted to be able to return for another visit to this lovely property on Lake Ontario. We really enjoyed our tennis gamin the afternoons and and such peaceful times at poolside.

Thanks again Paul & Leah! We're looking forward to seeing you again next year.

This was a stop over when we were travelling to Niagara on the lake from Toronto. It was exceptionally clean, beautiful garden and excellent breakfast. The only problem was that it is very noisy due to being so close to the QEW.

Unfortunately the night you stayed was 'a perfect storm', very low cloud base combined with a southerly wind which created more noise than usual from the QEW.

An amazing B&B with excellent hosts and amenities. Highly recommend taking the gourmet dinner option and enjoying a lovely meal in a beautiful dining room and relax in a lovely, comfortable sitting room or on the beautiful porch.

We just spent an exceptional weekend in Niagara, on a winery tour. The high light of the weekend was our stay at a B&B in a Century home near the lake and winery district. Silver Birches by-the-lake provided us with the perfect home base. The room was excellent, the accomodations spotlessly clean, the hot tub was a Godsend after a day of hiking through the vineyards. Coffee on the front porch overlooking the beautiful garden was a great start to the day. The three course breakfast complete with fresh fruit, warm croissants, and bacon and quiche, was delicious. I can't think of a single thing Paul and Leah could have done better. Highly recommended!

We found this gem thanks to the reviews on Trip advisor. And Silver Birches is everything the reviews say it is. It is inviting, warm, beautiful location. A lovely way to end our vacation. The hosts are lovely people. The room was excellent and the breakfasts amazing! We were served something different each morning of our stay. We spent a lovely day touring the local wineries and small villages. We will certainly be returning.

The area is beautiful, peaceful, minutes away from some of Niagara's best vineyards, and a ston throw away from lake Ontario.

The amenities are second to none. Incredibly clean and comfortable. The hosts are very friendly, and the three course breakfast is heaven.

This is a must if coming to the area.
