As regular visitors to Niagara-on-the-Lake, we were quite pleased to find our way on our most recent trip to Simcoe Manor. Since we were traveling with my father, we took advantage of the wonderful set-up afforded by the adjoining Henley and Simcoe suites. Easy access with lots of room and privacy, it was just perfect for us. The bonus of the sitting room with gas fireplace on that floor allowed us a place to visit and relax while planning our Niagara-on-the-Lake activities. It was the equivalent of having our own lovely private apartment. The breakfasts were truly outstanding and the conversation with other guests and especially our host John were lively and informative. You can't make a better choice than Simcoe Manor!

Room Tip: The Henley and Simcoe suites are well-suited for couples or family members traveling together.

We have have staying with John for many years and truly enjoy the charm of this B&B. The breakfasts are amazing and very graciously presented. Close to all of the plays, and easy to get to all of the wineries and area attractions.

Room Tip: Pick a second floor room if available.

John and Ally welcome you into their home. Rooms are clean and well appointed, convenient to theatres and town. Breakfast is plentiful, and served for all guests at 9, so you can compare notes on sightseeing, wineries, plays and get ideas for your stay or your next visit. John knows the local wines, wineries, restaurants, sights, and shows at the Shaw. Whatever your interest during your stay, he can offer suggestions or tell you something interesting about how it came to be. Personalize your visit to Niagara on the Lake and its environs with a stay at Simcoe without compromising comfort, cleanliness or convenience.

Myself and two friends have enjoyed our annual visit to Simcoe Manor for, at least, six years. It is a beautiful house and we return because we are treated like royalty, John Gartner, the proprietor is very knowledgeable about the area, theatre and local vineyards. The breakfasts are wonderful and John and his staff take great pride in the presentation of the food. We always have the 'Simcoe Suite', in the basement, and love it's comfortable size, huge bathroom and very private area. John is the most gracious of hosts and we would never stay anywhere else in Niagara on the Lake. I am already looking forward to 2013 and our visit to The Simcoe Manor.

We (myself and two friends) travel annually to the Shaw Festival and we always stay at the Simcoe Manor in the 'Simcoe Suite' which is in fact in the lower level of this B & B. We will always return as long as John Gartner continues to operate. As our many stays have been wonderful and we have found John to be a gracious host, I felt compelled to respond to this negative review by someone who chooses to be anonymous.

We experienced none of the issues mentioned in the review ... no noises from the plumbing ..... there is a lovely living room adjacent to the Simcoe Suite .... the entrance is at the rear but accessibility in never an problem ... no issues with removal of shoes .... and John is one of the reasons we will continue to return. There is always a lively conversation over breakfast, most guest we have had the pleasure of meeting are seldom there for the first time and we all welcome John's contribution to the conversation.

We will continue to return and I would hope that many others will enjoy the Simcoe Manor!!

Room Tip: This room is excellent, whether you are a couple or three friend travelling together. The room affords all their own bed,
