Eagle's Wing Bed and Breakfast
Reviewed 9 July 2013

Truly enjoyed my stay for here for two nights, and both breakfasts in the morning that were top notch, by a talented chef and absolutely charming hostess, Rollice. I am local to the area just needed somewhere close by to stay during a festival and I feel I really lucked out choosing their home. They are very accommodating couple and more importantly really genuine folks who are great to chat with.
Our short walk to everything made this location perfect! I would definitely recommend them to anyone visiting Niagara-On-The-Lake because she really knows the area well and all the great places to dine and visit. A very clean and busy place so be sure to get in when you can.

I wish them all the best.

Stayed 3 nights. The B&B is conveniently located in a safe neighbourhood, within walking distance of Queen Street and Picton Street (old town central).

The bedroom was clean and beautifully decorated though the mattress was a bit soft. Bathroom is clean and bright. On our last 2 nights, the B&B was fully occupied.

Breakfast in the morning was beautifully prepared and healthy, portion was huge. Rollice baked a blueberry loaf on 1 morning and fresh croissant on another morning. Conversation around the breakfast table was lively.

Rollice is very accommodating and obliging. Also, she recommends good places for dinners.

My wife and I spent three nights at the bed and breafast and it was one of the highlights of our trip. Rollice and Ken were very gracious and attentive to everyones needs. The house was beautifuuly decorated and the garden was beautiful, in spite of the dry conditions. The house is in a quiet neighborhood just a short walk to the village and theaters. The breakfasts each morning were delicious and the conversations with rollice and ken were both fun and informative. We will be going back in the future and look forward to staying there again.

Just back from a single night's stay with the amazing Rollice & Ken at Eagle's Nest. My partner & I and our two friends (another couple) are currently working in Toronto but had 48 hours off work to explore Niagara & Niagara-on-the-lake. We chose Eagle's Nest after a little bit of research and were not disappointed.
Our welcome was warm (even though we were late!) and Ken had gone to great trouble fixing up some bikes for us to borrow (slightly tired but great fun and saving us $120 in hire!)
After a few vineyards and dinner in town we headed back to drink a recent purchase. We were shown onto a gorgeous patio with a lovely gazebo, quiet jazz gently sparked up from the house (via some tucked away speakers) and we chatted into the night. We loved listening to the cicadas, under a brilliant starry sky.
Next morning's breakfast was an utter delight, I won't spoil the surprise but a large portion came from the garden and Rollice's cooking was fantastic.
Overall, we were made to feel like one of the family and loved the place, if only we could have stayed longer.
Yes, you are asked (politely) to not wear shoes in the house but I do this at home anyway.
The rooms are a little quaint for my taste but so is the whole of the region!!!
And possibly the rooms were a bit hot, but now I'm just nit-picking.
I'd say it was the best B&B I've ever stayed in.
Go.

It's hard to believe the poor review written by the last reviewer. My wife and I have stayed at Eagle's Wing B&B at least 3 times a year for the entire 12 years of operation.
We had stayed at other B&B's in the N.O.T.L. area prior to Eagle's Wing, but have never experienced the great feeling we have here. Ken & Rollice are always eager to provide whatever it takes to provide the best for ALL their guests. It goes without saying that many, many guests are returning guests and many of these guest introduce their friends and family to Eagle's Wing, We certainly have, and are proud to do so.
We would highly reccommend Eagle's Wing B&B.
It's unfortunate that one set of "crabby, demanding and argumentative guests" can TRY and paint a bad picture of a truly wonderful B&B.
And ...we are booked for this coming Friday and Saturday and are looking forward to it!!!!

We had a reservation for 2 days at the Eagle's Wing. Ken and Rollice Blake, the hosts at Eagle's Wing, refused to give us two sets of keys, insisted that we remove our shoes, and closed the Venetian blinds when we opened the windows to ventilate our hot room. When I demanded two sets of keys because my husband was bicycling while I was going to plays at the Shaw Festival, the hosts acted as though my request was unreasonable. When I argued with them, they called the police and evicted us at 11:30 p.m. Now, they are charging us for two nights when we were there only five hours.

The Eagle's Wing is clean and quiet, but it is quite far from the Shaw Festival. It advertises that it has central air conditioning, but the cooling is often not turned on or is at too low a volume to cool the second floor where the guest rooms are. The hosts do not treat guests honestly and charge for services that they do not provide.

Eagle’s Wing B and B have operated for twelve years without any issues until today. We hope to achieve the highest level of comfort during your visit and adjust the temperature, during the season, to ensure a comfortable experience. During your visit, the central air system was operating and we unaware that you may have experienced a slight discomfort with the temperature. Additionally, to ensure a level of cleanliness, we ask our guests to remove their shoes so that our establishment can meet yours and future guest’s expectations. We do supply slippers for those who prefer wearing some type of footwear in the house however most guests bring their own.
After initially picking up your keys, no requests or comments was made until you enjoyed the sights and experiences of Niagara on the Lake, about 4 hours. Standards at ours and surrounding B and Bs have always been to issue one set of keys, not two, which allow access to the house and the room of stay. This standard has never been an issue in the past. When we informed you that a duplicate set of keys could not be provided, it led to an outburst from you and compromised the safety of our other guests and ourselves. We felt it was necessary to call the police to ensure the safety everyone. As a result, you were only charged for one night rather than the two night period that you originally requested.

This was our fifth trip stay at he Eagles WIng B&B. Whenever we plan an overnight in NOTL, we check to see if there is an opening here. Rollice and Ken and friendly and gracious hosts. Rollice serves a sumptuous breakfast so plan to wake up hungry. After so many stays there, we feel like family!

Room Tip: Green room is the middle sized room with a very comfortable bed and plenty of space.
