“What a great experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 October 2013

Our first trip & stay in the NOL area. We could not have picked a better B&B. Rooms are very comfortable. Food was well above our expectations. Rick & Colleen are great hosts and helpful in providing recommendations. Very close to the downtown area. One of our hilites was a 3 hour bike ride along the Niagara River.

This was our second sejour at this place and we really enjoyed it.
Everything was perfect: accommodation, friendly service, great food, plus the rooms are beautiful.

The nice thing about the emplacement of the B&B is that it is located a few minutes walk from the main street where you will find restaurants, theater and stores.

We highly recommend this B&B.

Linda and Luc

Room Tip: We always stay at the Isabella room, which is a nice size and a spacious bathroom.

A wonderful stay all round. Lovely, super-clean room with a gas fireplace and a pretty view of the gardens - the Amelia room. Our hostess Colleen was gracious and exceedingly helpful, not to mention a great cook! The 4 course breakfasts were delicious - loved her homemade scones! The Manor was a few minutes walk from the main street but very quiet and peaceful. My husband loved the pool table. A perfect stay!!!!

We four friends started a tradition years ago of coming to Niagara on the Lake after Labor Day, to 'celebrate' the kids going back to school...The kids are on their own now, but we've continued the tradition of our trip, focused on the Shaw festival plays, and the wineries. We always stay at the Brockamour, because we like the fact that it is a bit away from the main street, yet close enough to walk to shopping and the theaters. Colleen and Rick are perfect hosts: welcoming and informative, knowledgable about the theater, local restaurants, wineries, and other activities. The rooms are beautifully decorated and lovingly kept; the 4-course breakfasts elegant and creative without being overwhelming. From the fresh fruit cup to the surprise dessert, each course is expertly prepared and presented. We are fans of B & Bs, this is the one we compare every other to...

This was the 4th year our group of 4 friends have stayed at Brockamour. We seem to love everything about it, from the big welcoming porches under the roof (with their own fireplace no less), to the sherry decanter waiting in the evenings in the downstairs hall, to the puffy comforters on the beds, and then,of course, the 4 star 4 course breakfast.

Rick and Coleen are wonderful hosts and are a wealth of information about the town and the whole area.

By now, we each have a favorite room and have made our reservations for next September.

We booked the Sister Charlotte room for two nights on our first stay at this B&B, and couldn't have been more pleased. Colleen and Rick's meticulous care of this historic property is evident in every nook and cranny. The weather on our weekend was too cold to get much use out of the very comfortable front porch with a tiny fireplace. The 4 course plated and served breakfasts were outstanding, and Colleen guided us on restauant choices and made reservations for us each night.
We definitely will return.

My husband and I booked the Loft at Brockamour. It was a beautiful, cozy hide-away located in the "attic" of the house, with 2 king-sized beds, a fire place and a separate upper level for the bathroom with a jacuzzi. The only drawback was that the stairs leading up to the entrance of this room are very steep and narrow, and more uneven stairs to get up to the bathroom. Otherwise, it was a sweet, cozy, very comfortable room and we absolutely adored it! I would highly recommend Brockamour for its lovely decor, friendly service, and awesome gourmet breakfasts every day. If you have a bit of trouble on steep stairs, the rooms on the second floor are for you. If you're ok with the steep stairs and slanted ceilings, book the Loft, it's a great hideaway!!

Thanks very much for your great review. Also, thanks for pointing out the features of the Loft Room and that although it is a very nice, very private room, it isn't for everyone. We're glad that enjoyed your stay. We enjoyed having you as guests and hope that you will include us in any future travels to Niagara-on-the-Lake
