“It was alright”
Reviewed 2 July 2014

We went camping here and the site was okay. Most of the campsites don't have much trees and the ones that do have trees, have too many trees, so it would be difficult to set up more than 1 tent. The site we stayed on, 230 had shade in the early morning, but by 10:00 AM it was full sun until sunset and it was extremely hot/sunny the weekend we went. I didn't like the fact that they only had a set for washrooms and showers that was shared between 2 campgrounds (campgrounds 100 & 200), so it was always busy and we had to wait.

We had to pay to use the swimming pool which was a 5 km drive, but everything else was included in our camping fee. The farm area was okay, but there is no actual petting zoo. My 2 year old did enjoy the farmhouse playground.

“Great Camping Trip and Day use area.”
Reviewed 20 May 2014

We camped here on the May long weekend and it was a great trip. The staff were all very nice and drove around a lot, waving and keeping tabs. When we arrived, our campsite was soaked from all the rain and the staff were very helpful in allowing us to move to a new, dry campsite. Sites were mixed. Campsites have a level gravel pad and then a grassy area as well. There are some open sites with little to no privacy and appeared to be a trailers all parked together. We stayed in Woodlands and the campsites are mixed. Some (309 area) are separated by few trees and the site we stayed at (331) was open but nice because there were a few trees between the neighbouring campsite and then on the other three sides it was open field with tall grass and the odd tree. There are nice playgrounds for the kids and a great off leash dog area (not fenced in but a designated area).

We drove the short drive to the day use area to visit the playbarn and animals and the kids LOVED it. Another off leash dog area here as well. We enjoyed some hikes, trail runs and lots of mountain biking. (When you camp, you are able to use the day use area at no extra charge)
It was a great trip and the kids (age 5, 3) are already asking when we will be going back.

“Rip off, just big not means a provincial park”
Reviewed 19 May 2014

I paid $16.00 to go in. There is only 1 lookout is good with looking down the river Valley. The scenic trail takes you down to the river was closed till May long weekend and I still need to pay $16.00. I think they are charging mainly for the farm and animals, but I didn't feel worth your time, young kids enjoyed, but not for me. I can see more than that for free in the waterloo park for free.

I never ever go back to this park.

“Great outing for family”
Reviewed 20 April 2014

This park is great for young families and adults. Lots to do with hiking, physical activities in the barn ( good for a rainy day), animals, playground for children, beautiful trails, swimming and basketball in the summertime, wagon rides, seasonal maple syrup festival, picnic area. A full day of fun.

“So much fun!”
Reviewed 16 April 2014

We love this park! Lots to do here, hiking, children's barn, animals, wagon rides, even the dog loves it! The pool is great in the summer and there is skating in the winter! Pack a lunch and go for the day, there is more than enough to keep your whole family busy all day long!! There is a leash free zone for dogs but they are allowed throughout the park (leashed). The hiking trails are labelled so that you can do an easy hike (under 30 minutes) or a longer hike which involves hills (on trails).
