A trip to Rideau Hall is both educational and enjoyable. The buildings and grounds are amazing and the tours inside the Hall are very informational.

“Rideau Hall”
Reviewed 4 January 2012

Great tour.. very interesting. Beautiful grounds. The kids were so excited to see trees planted by famous folks they know from History or the news .... Jackie Kennedy Onassis and a couple of others.\
There was a lockdown the day we were there at the DND, and the HOP ON HOP OFF BUS was unable to access the area to pick us up, so we explored quite a bit and enjoyed.

“Year-round Interest”
Reviewed 17 December 2011

Spring, summer, winter or fall, this is an interesting place to visit. For the flowers in spring and summer, the history in the fall and the free outdoor skating in the fall. Play your cards right and you might even be able to scam an invite to the New Year's Levee, an event in the grand ballroom or a tour of the greenhouse and gardens.

“Our Own Royal House”
Reviewed 9 December 2011

There is something regal and yet approachable about the home of our Governors-General. The art on the walls alone is worth the visit, but it's not intimidating. There is almost a coziness about the place, even though it can occasionally be the crucible for serious political decision making. During spring, summer, fall the grounds are a spectacular walk. Feels very welcoming.

“Beautiful building and grounds”
Reviewed 28 November 2011

You don't see a lot of Rideau Hall, but it's still interesting. The grounds themselves are very beautiful. Just nice to walk around and enjoy the gardens and the green space.
