“A must see...!!!”
Reviewed 26 February 2013

If you're a Military buff or not...lots to see and appreciate here...!!! Fabulous facility...and I learned a lot about the history of war and Canada's role in combat. The "armory" is a must see on the first level and the Hall of Remembrance. They have a free coat check if you're there during the winter months. If you're lucky enough to be there on Nov.11, the sun shines in on a monument at exactly 11am on Nov. 11th....spectacular how they did that..!!

“Great Museum”
Reviewed 26 February 2013

This was by far one of the better museums to see in Ottawa. I am not a huge history buff and I found the exhibits to be interesting. There were also a lot of great photo opportunities. Well worth a visit.

“A Must-See”
Reviewed 26 February 2013

Having a military background and history degree, I appreciate the CWM more than the average person. The highlight of all is definitely the knowledge of the veteran volunteers who man the displays: when I visited, it was just after the daily onslaught of schoolchildren had abated, so they were worn out but willing to talk with someone asking more than superficial questions. One needs several hours to soak in everything.

“Much to see in a Concentrated Area”
Reviewed 25 February 2013

Many displays from all branches of the service. Displays from the Boer War to modern day peacekeeping. On the day we were there, there were a number of vets to teach about the displays and relate their experiences. A wonderful tribute to all who have served our country. Being a post-war member of the forces, it was much appreciated to be recognized with complimentary entrance, parking and voucher for meal in "The Mess"
