Worth a visit. Decided to be a tourist in own city. The inside is amazing. Taking a tour will give you a great history lesson. Renovations will be shutting down senate side for many years.

I have had the opportunity to visit Parliament here in Ottawa numerous times. The tours are amazing and very informative providing a lot of information and knowledge of the working in and out of our Candian Government.

Great for all ages ( young kids might get a little board) having the opportunity to go up the peace towere the kids will love

I highly recommend taking the time to view parliament. The peace tower was spectacular. For me, the library was the best part, it is the only original part of the building which was destroyed in a fire.

We visited Ottawa to see just the Parliament. Since we arrived late that day we had to wait another day because the tours closed early. We had to wake up very early the next day to make it in line for the first tour. Luckily, we got in and made our way to the building. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of Canada and knew everything well and did a good job of answering questions. The tour allowed us to go into the Senate Chamber but unfortunately, we were not allowed to go into the House of Commons and we could only see it through some windows. The Peace Tower was beautiful and worth visiting in honouring of those who died in the wars. Overall, a great recommended place to visit and if you're lucky you might get to see Prime Minister Justin Trudeau taking a stroll down the lawn with his guards and his umbrella.

You have to get free tickets accross the parlament and only evening tours were avalable. Try to book early if you want day tour. Incredible archarchitecture and interesting history. This summer are the last tours before being closed for 10 years, yes well too long for a major reno. The building is old and it's time to bring it up to date, it needs a lot of work. The guide was from Alberta but knowledgeable. Evenig tour does not take you up the tower from where you have magnificent view.
