Thank you for sharing your experience through the TripAdvisor site. It's great to know you enjoyed the comfort and view of the guestroom, and service during your stay. Sorry about the weather, but spring has now arrived in Ottawa, tulips are in bloom and patio's are opening everywhere! Hopefully, you will have another opportunity to experience Ottawa in milder climates, we would love to welcome you back.
Took a spontaneous trip to the Ottawa area to visit friends and found a great deal at the Delta on Hotwire. The price wasn't the only good feature - they also were pet friendly so our pup was able to come on the trip with us.
The room was fantastic! A heavenly king-sized bed, comfy desk area, and super friendly staff. They were so sweet to our pup and offered suggestions for nearby dog friendly parks.
The hotel itself was renovated not long before our visit and is very sleek. It's in a prime location, too. Walking distance to Parliament Hill, Byward Market, shops, restaurants, and more!
We will definitely be back.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience through the TripAdvisor site. It is a pleasure to hear how much you enjoyed your stay, and the warm welcome received for you and your pup! We look forward to welcoming you back to Delta Ottawa City Centre.
Was back in Ottawa for one night, and chose the Delta Ottawa City Centre on a great rate (15% off made my ModeDeluxe room less than $187 all-in). Huge property, clearly a fav for conferences and groups but I also saw a large number of Air Canada employees here so that's also a great sign! Modern, clean, cool and very calming reds, whites, greens and glass all over the vast lobby, extends into the warm and soothing rooms.
Great view onto the river; about a 20-min walk to the fantastic Byward Market with its amazing restaurants, bars, vendors, etc, and within just a few minutes of the great Sparks Street and all of downtown Ottawa's easily walkable streets, shops, boutiques and bars.
ModeDeluxe room gives you a glass-enclosed spa shower, larger suites on higher floors, red accents versus green, and are a wonderful, small-fee upgrade from the standard rooms. Incredibly comfy bed, massive LED TV for the space, fantastic SmartDesk, big closet with tea kettle, coffee maker, and loads of shelves. Great space! My main gripe is barely a gripe at all, but the bathroom is tight, and you need to close the bathroom door to open the shower stall, and water did leak onto the floor afterwards.
And while it's not a game-changer for most people, having a 24-hour Tim Horton's off the lobby is a HUGE delight for me, and the coffee came in handy late-night after a fabulous dinner at Social on Sussex. Would definitely stay here the next time I'm in Ottawa, and hopefully for more than just one night!
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience through TripAdvisor. We are delighted to hear how much you enjoyed your visit, and we look forward to welcoming you back again and again!
Stayed here for two nights and was happily surprised to be greeted by a clean, decently-sized room styled in fresh, modern decor. The bed was, unfortunately, ultra comfy. I say unfortunately because I wasn't able to spend nearly enough time in it. I also appreciated the excellent wifi (which you don't often get, even at 5 stars).
The food was also good, with gluten free options on the in-room dining menu and through the hotel catering (the gluten free chocolate chip cookies were very good ... a little too good, actually).
I only note two drawbacks:
1. I had a room facing 3 busy streets and the hum of the traffic could be heard through the windows throughout the night
2. the small bathrooms do not include bathtubs, so if you want to soak after a long day of meetings, you'll be disappointed.
Some might find the location a bit removed from shops, restaurants and so on ... but we were easily able to walk to the Market and back for a dinner.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience through the TripAdvisor site. We are pleased that you enjoyed our new decor, and slept well during your visit. It's a pleasure to provide gluten-free options to our guests, and great to know how much you enjoyed the gluten-free chocolate chip cookies! If you are planning to return we encourage you to discuss your preferences with our reservation team, they will be happy to match your needs with the best room-type available, including a guestroom with a bath. We look forward to welcoming you back.
We stayed here after a long journey from the UK, four airports and three flights, we needed a place not too far from the airport and with comfy beds, the Delta was perfect for both of these requirements! The beds in our room were the most comfy I have slept in at a hotel. The room was warm, spacious and dark. We did need our ear plugs as we wanted to sleep at 8pm when other people were just going out for the evening. Breakfast was great and the dollar/pound exchange rate meant it wasn't too expensive. The journey from the airport was only 20 mins and we were in the heart of the city, five minutes walk from the Parliament building. A great location.
Thank you for sharing your feedback through the Tripadvisor site. We are delighted to hear you enjoyed your visit, and slept peacefully throughout the night. Most major attractions in our nation's capital are within walking distance of the Delta Ottawa City Centre, so we were pleased to learn you had the opportunity to walk about, and visit Parliament Hill during your stay. Once again, thank you for your kind comments, we hope to welcome you back.
Great as always. Friendly and quick check-in. Clean modern rooms. Easy parking and "in-and-out" cost of $2 well worth it. Large TVs with HD, modern clocks with lots of plugins. Fast Wifi. We stay here every time were in Ottawa now. Great place.
