Within 30 minutes of arrival we were ready to leave. Hauling suitcases, etc up from the parking lot was awkward and uncomfortable, then we had to turn over car keys before we'd finished unloading our car. Luckily the next two days were a huge improvement. Nora, at breakfast was a breath of fresh air and friendship! It is our first time at a B & B when no one spoke during breakfast. We are used to meeting and sharing home towns, visits and local successful visits etc. Location was excellent. We spent the days and evenings walking to the best sight seeing, touring, shopping and dining! The shower in room 21 was over the top in bells and whistles. I had to wear reading glasses to figure out the TWO remotes it required to work the shower/tub. It was fun. The saving grace was the refrig, bath. location and Nora's kindness. I would return, but insist on a first or second floor room.

Room Tip: Room 21 has an amazing bath, but it's 50 steel stair steps up from the parking lot. The street...

We stayed two nights in a room in the new annex of McGee's Inn. The room had a private access and parking which was a very nice feature. I suppose that the rooms in the original building are more grand, this was functional with a good bed, a spacious bathroom and good wifi connection.

The staff is very friendly, breakfast was nice and the location is quiet but only a couple of blocks from the downtown.

My husband and I have stayed at Auberge McGee's Inn 13 times in the past 12 years (one week every June). I am happy to report that since the new Innkeeper's bought the Inn back in about 2004 or 2005, it has been an absolutely delightful experience each year. The breakfasts are delicious and presented in such a lovely way. There are several options to choose each morning from the menu as well as the fresh fruit, yogurt, juices, cereal and a fresh baked item that are also provided. In the evening the Keurig coffee machine is available to use and Biscoff cookies are a sweet treat to go with the coffee. The Inn Keepers are a delightful family who are very knowledgable about places in Ottawa and the surrounding area. The Inn is located in the lovely Sandy Hill area of Ottawa and only a few blocks from the Byward Market. Since I am from Arizona, I really enjoy walking through the Sandy Hill neighborhood enjoying all the wonderful flower beds.

Room Tip: We love Room #16. I have seen all four rooms on the second floor and each of them is special. This...

we stayed here with another couple recently and were very impressed with the price, location, rooms, breakfast and charm of this victorian B and B. We will definitely come back again as this as so well located in downtown Ottawa without leaving feeling like you were in a city.

Room Tip: two of the rooms have closed balconies and are lovely to sit out in your own private area in the sum...

Stayed here recently on trip to Ottawa. Pros: Fabulous staff. Wonderful breakfast - delicious crepes, omelettes, fresh fruit, coffee and friendly staff. Clean and cute room, nicely decorated. Stayed in Room 19 - just what we wanted. A cozy romantic style room. A bit small but perfect for a couple or individual. Great location. Everything within walking distance or a short taxi ride. Good value. Cons: Creaky floors (what I would expect from an older building like this). No bathroom fan. Overall: Loved my stay here. Would definitely recommend it and would stay here in the future. Look forward to trying some of the other suites as they all have their own style and charm.

Room Tip: All rooms are nice and have their own charm. Room 19 was cozier, and on top floor so better for a mo...

My partner and I stayed here one night in the Windsor room. It was very romantic. We book this specific room because of the space aged bathtub/steam shower. The tub was not quite big enough for two tall people to relax in comfortably and the TV was really not visible while relaxing in the tub but who watches TV while having a romantic get away with their hunny anyway? The steam shower was really nice though and we enjoyed relaxing in the comfy robes.

The inn is very close to the byward market and we popped out for supper. Breakfast at the inn was extraordinary. The presentation was beyond my expectations and everything was delicious. The other guests were very friendly too.

If I were to stay again, I would get the Victorian suite as the tub in that room appears to be larger.

My husband and I stayed at the beautiful McGee inn in Ottawa. We chose the Victorian suite and it was spacious and quiet. The memorabilia around the inn is impressive and the hosts are wonderful. The best thing was the amazing breakfast. I have never had such a fluffy omelete. I would highly recommend staying here versus the big chain hotels.

Room Tip: The third floors rooms are defintely the most quite
