Visited our daughter in Petawawa and reserved a room at this place on Dec 16 for an overnight stay prior to catching a plane. Got there at 14:00 hrs and was informed the restaurant did not open till 15:00 hrs. Got to the room and found the tub so discolored and scratched I wouldn't bath my dog in it. Travelled down the street to find a restaurant and stopped at the Best Western, they had a restaurant that was open so ate there. While there I inquired about a room and was told they had a similar room to the one we had at the Travelodge for the same price. They gave us a key and we found the room to be larger, with more chairs, but more importantly the room had been updated and was very clean. The way the bed covers and pillows were arranged showed pride in workmanship and was very inviting. Went back to the Travelodge and cancelled our room there, we were charged full price for the night, but it was worth it to get out of this dump.
Thank you for your feed back, we do take your comments serriously and I'm sorry you felt the hotel was not up to your standards.
I travel an awful lot for my job and have stayed in many hotels- the experience I had with this hotel was the worst!! This review has been a long time coming, as this happened a while ago. I had been to stay at this hotel a few times and although not the most comfortable or quiet place in the world, my son loved the watermark so I decided to stay a third time. big mistake!!! When I went to check in the lady at the front desk, Cendrine, was extremely nasty. The manager was away that day so I spoke to the assistant manager. In the end I was so put off I cancelled my reservation, made sure they refunded my money and left the hotel. The really irksome problem is I actually called head office to complain- head office put me through to Travelodge in Ottawa to leave a message with the manager. They never followed through!
Dear guest, I apologize that experience was so negative. As you say you have stayed with us in the past therefore you understand the level of service we offer. If you could contact me directly it would be greatly appreciated.
my home was being treated so i had to stay at this hotel. went last weekend when hockey team was there. kids were running up and down the halls and i had to call front desk to complain. late at night people were having a party down the hall and yelling. had to call front desk to complain again. at 2:00 a.m. in morning people were coming in the hall and talking loud. they were drunk. daughter went out to tell them to be quiet and they gave her the finger. when i complained to mgr on duty got no where. dont ever stay here again as mgr does not care about business.
Good afternoon, I am sorry that you were disturbed by the noise from the hockey teams, I have apologized to you and have offered compensation. If you change your mind and wish to take advantage of the offer, feel free to call me, you have my number.
My granddaughters (8 yr. old twins) had been counting down the days and hours for our girls night out at the Travelodge. The water in all of the waterpark was frigid cold. Being 8 yrs. old they tolerated the frigid water in the wave pool, but whenever they came out of the water they were freezing. The room was cold because all of the water was cold. I have one good thing to say about the waterpark and his name in TOM; your employee, Tom, did everything he could possibly do to make the tiny waterfall pool water warm enough for the kids to enjoy. The "hot tub" was lukewarm, but they were not allowed in it.. It was a very disappointing experience being that your hotel is geared for children and the kids all trembled with cold.
Hello Linda, thank you for your feed back on the waterpark, the issue has been addressed by maintenance and temperatures and been adjusted to a more comfortable level now that winter is here. We will be forwarding you a gift certificate for a future stay so that your granddaughters can come again and enjoy.
