“Great deal, great service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 May 2014

I had to stay in Ottawa for five weeks for medical treatment, all but three days of it in a hotel. I chose Business Inn after researching it and I'm glad I did. It has all the essentials and then some - a printer wired to the internet! Full kitchen. Free laundry room. Well-equipped fitness room. The breakfast room is miles above the usual facility of that name, having fresh cut fruit salad, good coffee, fresh baked goods, yogurt, and hot egg sandwiches with choice of hot meat. With a city block are at least a dozen cafes, restaurants, bistros and bakeries. There is a fabulous grocery store just down the street, Bousheys, with terrific produce and take-home cooking from many ethnic cuisines.

When my medical stay turned from five weeks to who-knows, the hotel staff became protective of me, from the housekeepers who would refrain from vacuuming at my request, to the housemen who once again set my TV remote to rights, to the front desk, who passed through familiar visitors but announced new ones, never getting it wrong.

Okay, the furniture is outdated, and the wifi sucks. Bring a favourite bedspread and pillow cushion or two, and one of those blue cables to wire your pet computer to the wall, if possible. Because otherwise the place is perfect for a long stay during convalescence, and at an extremely reasonable price.

We stayed at the Business Inn during a recent trip to Ottawa. You cannot get a better deal for accommodations in Ottawa. Rooms have kitchen facilities and computers. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is included and washing machines available free of charge to wash clothing if needed. We will definitely stay at the Business Inn when we visit Ottawa in the future.

Although a bit dated, and not a luxury type place, this was a somewhat surprisingly good stay in a great location not too far from the Parliament and the busy part of the city. If you're coming in by train like İ dıd, you can take a bus to the Campus stop and then walk west across the Rideau Canal via a small brıdge and then down a side street to get to the hotel. Checkin was easy even though I got in very late at night, and the front desk was friendly enough. My room had a bedroom, living room and bathroom, whıch were all comfortably sized, although not the most modern. There were 2 TVs (a small 1 in the bedroom too, wıth a good amount of channels), a closet, a big fridge, and decent kitchen area. No problems with noise and the bed was fine. Free breakfast was generally decent, although the same everyday. Free Wifi was OK. İn the immediate vicinity there are many restaurants and bars, and a few markets (don't expect much nightlife in this town though). There are several nearby bus stops as well, although it isn't the easiest to figure out Ottawa's bus system... which is unfortunate as the city sights are quite spread out. Didn`t try the gym or other hotel facilities. No problems checking out. Overall a pretty decent mid-price establishment - recommended.

The 'room' we had was more like an appartment, it was huge! Location is good. Good value for money.
But, not perfectly clean, I found a hair on the bathtube. The room had really outdated furniture. The breakfast was in a room converted to breakfast buffet, bit strange. Because the baked eggs and bacon the breakfast area was filled with smoke.
I found it a bit strange hotel. The staff was very friendly and you can park you car next to the hotel (additional cost apply)
Nice to stay in such a big space for so little money, but I prefer to have payed a bit more and get up to date furniture and more cleanliness. Ottawa is a great city, but next time I stay somewhere else.

Good size room, felt like a condo. Very comfortable bed. Free breakfast with lots of variety. Even gave goodie snack bags. Free laundry. The only didnt like is paying extra $15 a night to park. But all in all, highly recommend.

Pleasant surprise, the rooms are very clean, air conditioned, air filter Oreck, TV 46po two sofa bed, dining table for six people, 46po TV in the bedroom! In the kitchen, stove, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, dishes and utensils and even wine glasses. Breakfast is included in the price. It is very varied, tea, milk, coffee, espresso machine, muffin, croissant, finally nothing is missing. There are even small snack bags prepared to go. The two cooks on site will prepare sandwiches with egg, bacon and cheese. Hard to beat! We recommend it.

Four of us stayed at The Business Inn this past weekend for tulip festival. Mix up at desk for 2 rooms was handled promptly and we were upgraded to larger suite overlooking the Main Street and reduced price. I could not believe the size of the rooms, 46 inch TV in two rooms/ two couches and diningroom table in living room. More closets in kitchen then I have at home and tons of clothes closets. The bed with its pillowtop mattress was so comfortable I wanted to take it home. I could not believe that the computer and printer were free for our use. I work in tourism myself and to say I was pleasantly surprised with the whole place and the service would be an understatement. I would recommend The Business Inn to anyone who travels to Ottawa and we would surely stay again if we are in the area. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.
