“Great place for family outing”
Reviewed 5 March 2014 via mobile

I love taking my grandchildren here as they always enjoy there outing. All year round there are animals to visit and the agriculture museum building is a hive of activity for all ages. Learn to mill flour, even bake bread on weekends. There is a kitchen play area when the little ones want a break!
In the summer they have horse drawn wagon rides which we all enjoy.
Spring time is one of the best times to go when it's lambing season. Also piglets abound as well as kids( baby goats ) there is sheep shearing in May as well.
A beautiful rose garden to stroll around in the summer and plenty of picnic tables so bring a lunch basket and enjoy the outdoors .
There is plenty of free parking on the grounds .

“farm experience for urban children”
Reviewed 16 August 2013

The museum has many farm animals (mainly cows and pigs, but also horses and goats) that the children are able to touch and feel and experience a little bit of farm life. Seeing the cows being milked and making ice cream (using manual power) were the most liked activities for my grandchildren. I would have liked a few more instructional activities for young children, but there were informational displays that informed them of the various issues of a farm. Demonstration of the generation of electricity by wind and sun was a good addition. (they even had two llamas, which did not fit the rest of the Canadian farm theme, but it gave a little distraction). Charging for parking was a bit too much!

“Great for little children”
Reviewed 28 July 2013

This museum, which consists of several buildings, allows children to have a good look at various farm animals. This fairly inexpensive activity is a good activity for children of all ages. There is also a nice playground area and several picnic areas. Highly recommended.

“Enjoyed our day at the farm”
Reviewed 7 July 2013

We had a nice day at this museum and really enjoyed exploring it and seeing all the Animals. The presentations were all very well done. Informative and interesting! The whole family loved the ice cream making demo and especially the tasting at the end! The bee exhibit is really well done and very interesting.

Yes the barn smells.....but it is a barn.....

Overall an enjoyable museum. Lots of hands on displays and lots of interesting things to see. The tractor exhibit was also a hit with my son. (Age 10)

Worth a visit especially with kids!

New parking meters are not easy to figure out - had to put up with people criticising me for being too slow at the machine who were lined up behind me. No instructions and only a phone number to call if problems - but no phone to use! Now in a bad mood before even enter the museum - once in museum was very disappointed in not finding much in the way of a diversity of Ag equipment and there was only a few animals here and there - except for cows which were good in having many breeds present. For the money, I felt was overcharged having gone through the 4 buildings in less than 45 minutes. I had my 82 year old mom with me and there was no place for her to sit - the multitude of kids present took up all siting places. It was hot and she became unwell. I do not recommend this place for anyone over 5 years old. Can see more interesting diversity of animals going for a walk in the green belt. can at least can see a turkey in the greenbelt - only found a few chickens (not even clucking) at the farm.
