Decided to abandon the fast food and splash the cash on some 'proper' food. If you're after a taste of Canadian regional fare, you can't go wrong with this place: sure, it's more pricey, but compared to London it's excellent value.
The (?) maitre d' explained each dish in great detail, was extremely professional and attentive and I was looked after well. The dishes were beautifully presented, a complex array of local ingredients in each but integrated well. The wines are (to my surprise - but then I'm no wine expert) all Canadian - and the Pinot Noir selected for me was a treat for the palate ... and the price I'd pay for a large glass in a pub back home.
But beyond the food and great value the lasting impression was the friendliness and lack of attitude of the staff. Recommend.
