An older plain white house on a busy corner hides a gem of a restaurant not far from the exclusive enclave of Rockcliffe on the east side of Ottawa. Quiet French music provides a backdrop well suited to the interesting French cuisine and efficient but friendly service. The signature dish may well be the "duo" - a soup served with one soup carefully put on one side of the bowl and another contrasting soup on the other side. If you come early in the week you are almost gauranteed to be served by Natasha, co-owner with her husband the chef. Many regulars come to this establishment and they are inevitably greeted with warmth and affection by Natasha. Latter in the week the restaurant is much busier. Reservations are almost always required. Our favourite restaurant in Ottawa.
