An older plain white house on a busy corner hides a gem of a restaurant not far from the exclusive enclave of Rockcliffe on the east side of Ottawa. Quiet French music provides a backdrop well suited to the interesting French cuisine and efficient but friendly service. The signature dish may well be the "duo" - a soup served with one soup carefully put on one side of the bowl and another contrasting soup on the other side. If you come early in the week you are almost gauranteed to be served by Natasha, co-owner with her husband the chef. Many regulars come to this establishment and they are inevitably greeted with warmth and affection by Natasha. Latter in the week the restaurant is much busier. Reservations are almost always required. Our favourite restaurant in Ottawa.

My husband and I decided to celebrate our 5th anniversary at Le Saint O. We've heard and read great reviews and we live in the neighborhood. So pleased that we went. The atmosphere brings me to Quebec City and it's little restaurants feel with great and fantastic service. The server, don't know her name spoke impeccable French and her English was to clear with that clean French accent. Have the Table D'Oh. Recommend the soup de hour if it's the mushroom/ broccoli combo. Lamb was so tender it came off the bone, fish - pickerel fish du jour was so lite and delicious. The house red is another reccommendation...yummy. Cheese plate to finish our wine was tasty and dessert .... so many choices we had the creme brûlée MMMM !!! This is a MUST on anyone's list of fine French cuisine my husband and I will return and won't wait too long to go back.... Compliments to the Chef and Service a definate 10+++

Romantically reliable, grand gastronomic and family budget prices make this a bargain in everything except for the food which is spared nothing short of excellence.
