Excellent italian cuisine! Excellent service! Excellent ambiance in an older brick house! Parking is not favourable around the restaurant but it takes very little away from the restaurant experience.

My family celebrated our anniversary and it was fantastic. Awesome food and excellent service. Old Italian charm in this house added to the ambiance of this restaurant. Other patrons next to us were also happy as we joined in conversation.

The food was excellent and although pricy it was a good value.

You will experience Italy for an hour or so and leave full and satisfied and also with an urge to travel to Italy

Spending a couple of night's in Ottawa, we were recommended this restaurant by the hotel concierge after asking for something Italian and more upmarket than what we'd seen in the area.

Mama Teresa's fitted the bill for us. It is situated in an older building, but this added to the charm, food style is what I'd call north american Italian rather than classic Italian.

Absolutely no issues with the food we got, both good and huge portions, I had the house salad followed by spaghetti and meatballs, my partner had proscuttio and pears followed by penne with spicy Italian sausage. We also had a litre of the house red wine.

Service was quick and efficient, almost to the degree of being too eager with the waiter returning often to see how everything was and to grab any plate as soon as it was cleared.

Pricing was on the higher side, especially the wine but this seems to be the case in Canada with alcohol in general. again for the quality and amount of food provided we were happy to pay.

We returned to the hotel stuffed, and happy so can clearly say the good outweighed the bad.

We went to this restaurant on the weekend of the Tulip Festival. Arrived there for lunch to find that out that the restaurant is only open for dinner. We went back for dinner that night and it was packed. Not sure why to be honest. The restaurant itself is within an old house and the decor is very outdated and needs a major overhaul. We were seated upstairs near the front of the house, window seat I guess I can say. Tables so close together we couldn't even move. Food was okay, nothing to brag about. Service was poor and it was definitely not a child friendly atmosphere as everyone kept looking at our daughter who was just being a typical two year old. No substitutions were allowed. Very pricey for what you were given and not worth the money. Wouldn't go back and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
