A great little pub and a nice change from the big barn feel of the standard modern bar/pub. This place is about as small as my bedroom but it's very cozy, great food and a nice beer selection. It is the only place in Ottawa I can think of that has done a good job re-creating the neighbourhood "local" you'd find in Britain. I think they've maybe crammed in a few too many tables for it's size so perhaps avoid going over the dinner hour. The lighting was low for a nice ambience and the service was excellent. I will definitely return again for pints and food!

Quinn's is a pub that caters primarily to local Ottawa South residents. It's small size gives it a genuinely "local" atmosphere (unlike the pub-package feel of many chains), and it clearly caters to regulars, many of whom are arrayed around the bar. The food is much above average for pub food, the range of beers good, the decor interesting and homey, the seating a little tight but comfortable (the armchairs at a couple of the tables are perhaps a little low for less agile customers). In the summer there is also seating at a raised outdoor patio. Its only disadvantage (which many might see as an advantage) is that its popularity with locals tends to make it very crowded, and in such a small space this can make it seem quite noisy. It's an ideal place for a quick meal or drink before going to the adjacent Mayfair Cinema.

Being one of several local neighbourhood pubs, Quinn's is a fairly regular stop for my wife and I. It's a decent local pub, with a fair selection of beers on tap, a modest menu of largely pub standards, and a quaint pub atmosphere. During the summer months, the patio is quite nice. Don't expect magic, but I've never been disappointed with a meal here. There's no shortage of pubs in the area, and we go to Quinn's fairly often.
