“Best Pub In Ottawa”
Reviewed 10 April 2014

In 2 months, I'm moving out of Ottawa, and I can say confidently that this is the place I will miss the most. While it may not be the best place on earth for everyone it certainly hit all of my criteria.

Both in Summer and Winter, the setting is great. The cozy hole in the wall feel of the interior, with minimal seating and large arm chairs on the one wall is the perfect place to sit and have a pint. In the summer they effectively double there seating with a great patio off the back, slightly removed from Bank St.

Food is good pub food for the most part. Interesting specials here and there. They stand out in my opinion for their wings and burgers both of which they do very well. They brew their own beer, ABC (Ashton Brewing Company) which is getting picked up at other Ottawa bars. My favourite feature is getting it in a milk jug, the equivalent of 2 pints, served in an old fashion milk jug. They'll give you a glass to pour it into, but who needs that haha.

Service is good and friendly. Can slow a little when the place is packed but always friendly and helpful. As far as I go, I like hole in the wall places with character. Quinn's was perfect for me in this sense. Small and unique however it's inviting and has a pretty diverse crowd in it. You get the benefit of a unique venue without it feeling pretentious which I've felt at some other pubs. Essentially the ratio of hipsters is acceptable for the average person haha.

If you're looking for good beer and pub food, Quinn's is the place. If it's during a peak time, prepare to wait or have a backup plan given it's tiny size.

“Awesome Wings”
Reviewed 3 September 2013

We wanted to try something new and wanted to sit on a patio. Well Quinn's didn't dissapoint. We had the wings and nachos. There must be 10 different sauces for the wings so we asked the server for her recomendation and it was awesome. The nachos were a good size and the prices were the same as any other pub in Ottawa. Their beer is quite flavorful too. Service was good and quick. The patio was nice its in the back/side of the restaurant so it's a little quieter.

“Best pub in the city!”
Reviewed 28 May 2013

I recently rediscovered Quinn's and it's great to be back. This is the best little neighbourhood pub in the city - it's cozy, the food is delicious, the staff are fantastic, the beer is great and it just has the right feel to it. This is not a party pub, but not a quiet place either. It's just a great place to hang out, have a beer and some good food and possibly make some new friends.

The burgers are great and no trip to Quinn's is complete without a plate of wings - wings Gerrard are the way to go!

Try the Ashton Brewery beers (the family owns the brewery and runs Quinn's and Patty's down the street).

“Best Pub Grub in Ottawa! Patio Too!!!”
Reviewed 16 May 2013 via mobile

If you are looking for a pub that serves real food... not processed and not mass produced then you will definately enjoy the healthy portions of freshly prepared food offered at Quinn's Pub.

The environment is cozy, warm and friendly. You will feel comfortable visiting here solo or with friends. This pub is small and gets busy on the weekend... but with the summer upper level patio this pub doubles its seating capacity with the addition of the summer patio and is also a super place to enjoy a cold organic locally brewed beer.

Happily the atmosphere and focus of the pub is more on the Indi music than on tv's playing loud sports matches. (The pub staff admits they play hockey and other sports for big sporting events), however they do not turn the sound on the tv's in order to keep the music as a central part of the pub's atmosphere.

WiFi available too.

Huge selection of locally brewed beer on tap. Stupendous food.

Kudos to Quinn's!

If you want an authentic pub experience... you gotta drink here.

Enjoy!

“What a local pub should be!!”
Reviewed 16 December 2012

Dropped in with some friends for a beer after a hockey game. Pleasant surprise - good mixture of draft beers including some local breweries. Decided to stay and eat and this was the pleasant surprise. My special - Butter Chicken was spicy, hot and delicious. This is what local pubs should be cozy, good beer, good food and good friends.
