Great place to visit. Not commercialized, quaint. Visit the winery, Pelee Places B & B, Pelee Coneheads ice cream, take the ferry from Leamington.

We loved the tour of the island and recommend it to anyone. The guide was vey knowledgeable and took us to many places, getting us accustomed to the island (it was our first visit). She gave us lots of interesting facts and history of the island. She would stop and let us explore different places. Was worth the cost.

Pelee Island... this little piece of earth, located in the middle of Lake Erie, offers an opportunity to escape from the hustle-bustle of big cosmopolitan city life. As soon as you board the ferry to the island, you can feel the stress dissipate from your body. If you're looking for action and big, franchise-named hotels, this is not the place for you. The largest hotel has 27 rooms. Instead, enjoy the hospitality at one of the island's B&Bs. The hosts are friendly and more than willing to help out. Bay day, rent (or bring) a bike to get around the island, walk the beach and search for sea glass, relax in a hammock, enjoy an ice cream cone. At night, take time to watch the light show of the fireflies... how long has it been since you've seen some? Stop by Pelee Island Winery to sample their wines and enjoy a b.b.q. meal. In fact, you can cook your own if you want. Check out the museum (small but filled with a abundance of island history). Tour the pheasant farm and find the old Indian grinding stone, meander down to the old Vin Villa ruins, walk the path to the lighthouse. Experience the island's slow pace of life and catch your breath.

I arranged a cycling tour for my girlfriend and I by email and phone. They were pleasant to deal with and everything went smoothly. Tour was good and hit most of the sites on the island. Even got to stop for fresh baked goods at the local bakery.
