We had a wonderful night at the Moffat House. The owner, Doug, was very friendly and helpful. We were welcomed to a very nice, very clean, very comfortable room (Dundela Suite). They've kept much of the character of the old house, but added a great amenities. The breakfast was very good and was served in a nice dining room where we were able to chat with some of the other guests. It's a bit on the higher end of what we would normally pay, but it's well worth it and all the money goes towards supporting the local economy and not corporate headquarters far or shareholders far away.

Anytime we need a place to stay in Peterborough, we'll be staying at the Moffat House.

Room Tip: The Dundela Suite has lots of light and space and a huge bathroom.

We stayed 1 night in the Luscombe Suite. As the titled says this place has all the C's covered. This B&B is centrally located, convenient, clean, classy, charming, comfortable, cozy, and the hosts are very courteous. They offer free WIFI, and a 2 course breakfast, with juice and coffee or tea. There are 4 suites in total. The 2 bigger ones on the 2nd floor, the 2 smaller ones on the 3rd floor. There is ample parking for each suite.
This was our first time staying in a B&B and didn't know what to expect at first. Our host made our stay very pleasant. We would return again, and would probably venture out to other B&B's now.
Thanks for a wonderful stay Angela & Doug.

5 minutes drive from the centre of Peterborough, this is a great place to stay. The room was huge with an enormous window looking over the garden. Excellent bathroom and a very comfortable bed. Free wifi.
The owner was very helpful in suggesting places to go and provided us with a local map.
Breakfast was superb.
Overall, very good value and very pleasant.

I stayed in this B&B because all the hotel rooms were taken for a convention. What a luck because this was so much nicer than a regular hotel. The house is located in the "old" part of Peterborough where you can have a nice garden tour just strolling around in the evening. The hosts are wonderful, the rooms elegant. We stayed two nights on the top floor and one in the Dundela Suite on the second floor which has a nice sitting area and a big jacuzzi. Tea supplies in the room as well as bottled water. Ample clothes storage with full size dressers and closets with hangers that actually come off the rod! There is a small fridge in the upstairs foyer for guests' items. Adequate parking adjacent to the entrance. TV and cable in all rooms. Free WiFi internet.

Breakfast was different everyday with much effort put into them to make them appealing and attractive.

Be aware that it is not accessible for mobility-impaired - all rooms are upstairs.

I come to Peterborough 3-4 times a year for 2-4 weeks each stay .The Moffat House is my favourite B&B . The Hosts , Angela and Doug are kind , courteous and discreet . They totally respect your privacy . This house is kept immaculately clean . The towels and bedding are of high-end quality . The rooms are beautifully furnished and are comfortable .I am fascinated with the rich history of this house . Doug will tell you all about it if you ask him . Breakfast is freshly home-cooked , delicious and tastefully served . No wonder Moffat House is the favourite for many travellers . I have met many interesting people from all walks of life and many countries .We all agree Doug and Angela are excellent hosts . Do yourself a favour and come to stay at the Moffat House . You will not regret it !

Room Tip: Every room has it's own charm . The room descriptions on the website are accurate .

Moffat House is exactly as their website describes. It is well located for visiting the core of Peterborough, with good parking for guests. The house is warm and inviting. Its an old house so of course it creaks a bit, part of its charm. The B and B is very well maintained, clean and with good amenities (quality towels and linen). The hosts were helpful without being intrusive. Breakfast was served in the main wood paneled dining room and we were asked what time would be best for us. Our hosts were most accommodating.

We recently took an overnight trip to the Peterborough to see the Petroglyphs just north of the city. We found the Moffat House to be quite lovely and our room (Moffat suite) was much larger than expected with a very comfortable bed and its own sitting room. The owners, Angela and Doug, were very inviting and we enjoyed the breakfast they served. Good location with downtown restaurants and attractions just a few blocks away by foot.
