Owner description: Brock's Monument National Historic Site towers over picturesque Queenston Heights, Ontario. The monument measures 56 metres (185 feet) in height and is the largest monument of its kind in Canada. Situated on the site of the Battle of Queenston Heights where British and American soldiers struggled for the destiny of two nations, Brock's Monument is the final resting place of Major General Sir Isaac Brock and his Aide-de-Camp Lieutenant Colonel John Macdonell.

We were not planning on stopping, but when we saw the monument from a distance we thought we should stop for a peek. Are we ever glad we did. Great historical site that is well worth stopping at!

Really cool historical site. The War of 1812 is overlooked but is essential in understanding Canadian-American relations

The area around the monument has great walking paths and really peaceful and serene. Very nice to just meander as a couple and lose the outside world. the monument is nice and the history of the battle and Brock himself quite interesting. I did the climb - it is 200+ steps and requires good legs but once at the top I was disappointed. There is really only room for say 2 adults at the top and you arent outside but in a very confined space with essentially 4 port hole sized openings looking N,S, E & W - but that's it. You really get get a great view from there despite being very high. Skip the climb and save the $4.50

You can see this monument as you enter the area- make your way to it as it has interesting historical information and includes a tribute to Canadian Indian Tribes.

Beautiful park . A chance to spend some quiet reflection in a busy travel schedule. You can actually picture what happen during this battle. Great views of Niagara River and USA across the river
