This is an easy stop while sightseeing or visiting the wineries. It has a great view and plaques telling the history of the monument concerning the War of 1812. Public bathrooms are nearby and there is a nice restaurant serving lunch and dinner. It would be quite a climb if you are on a bike.

The walk around the monument was really informative with plaques explaining what happened during the war of 1812 . Great info not commonly acknowledged about the first nations peoples who were involved and the site given to that subject was very interesting. Lots of ther info in the room under the monument with good staff. The grounds themselves are really beautiful and worth a visit or picnic.

My wife and I saw this attraction on Trip Advisor. We had never heard of it and we had never been North of Niagara Falls proper. And so we decided to take a drive up the Niagara Parkway and pay it a visit. We certainly are happy we did so. Just a visit to Queenston Heights Park, the park in which the monument is located, makes the drive worth the time and the effort. Plus, the drive itself is just absolutely magnificent. We did this on a perfectly beautiful autumn day. The Autumn Colors were beginning to show their magnificence. Then, after visiting the monument, continued on and explored Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Thank You Trip Advisor for your website.

Not really as interesting as Fort George didn't think it was worth the time . many may differ but I would suggest giving it a pass
