We took several walks during our stay in SSM. It was always enjoyable and reading plaques along the way to learn about the area. There are many art pieces around too, and just a beautiful place to visit. Plenty of things to visit all along here.

Excellent downtown location, lots going on down there. Rotaryfest is a must to attend in the summer here.

The boardwalk along the St Mary's River is a nice relaxing stroll, with benches placed along the route. It is very helpful not to have to watch out for bikes, as they have their own path right next to the Boardwalk. Along the way, you can sit and watch the Lake Freighters go by, and you can even see them lock through (albeit from a distance). In case of hunger or thirst, there are several Bistro type eateries close by, and the Station Mall shopping plaza (which is just a few steps across the St Mary's Drive road) has a food court. For those who like to gamble, the Casino is at one end of the board walk, and history buffs can visit the Ermatinger Old Stone House or the Bush Plane Museum just a few extra steps off the opposite end. In all, a relaxing walk.

The boardwalk/trail is very well maintained and has plenty of views along the way. Definitely be sure to stop by the Lock and get some great pictures!
