“"Perfect Weekend Getaway"”
Reviewed 12 April 2012

In early March 2012 , I spent a perfect weekend away from the big city relaxing and recharging at the Birmingham Manor. For this visit (my second) I chose the Sandringham, it's now my favourite room! It's spacious, very comfortable and elegant. Great accommodations, excellent food and lovely hosts. "Thank You Dom and Elena for making me feel totally pampered!"
I'll definitely visit again.

We stayed at Birmingham Manor at the end of March (2012), and had a fantastic time. Though it was prior to the start of the Shakespeare Festival, we wanted a quiet quaint place to get away and celebrate a birthday. The hosts were very personable, and we connected with them right away. We immediately felt that we were not just customers, but friends. We were provided with lots of information regarding things to do in the area, and recommendations on sights to see.
The attention to every detail and aspect of our stay was beyond compare. The stunning historical touches in the house are all perfectly maintained and greatly enhance the pleasure of a stay there. Extra little touches like desserts for later in the day, extra food for walks around town, and helping to celebrate a birthday were taken note of and really made the difference. When we go back to Stratford we would not dream of staying anywhere else.
The breakfasts were healthy, delicious and delightful, the courses kept coming and we had all we could want. Every detail from the garnish to the place settings to the combinations of courses was appealing to the eye and mouth-watering.The Sandringham bedroom was quaint and spacious, the bathroom clean and well-kept.
We can not recommend this place highly enough, and can not say enough good things about it. It exceeded all of our expectations. We thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Elena and Dom, and loved sharing pictures and stories throughout our few days in Stratford. It was a joy to exchange pictures about our mutual love of (and experiences in) Cuba!

We miss the meringues!!!

Room Tip: We only stayed in the Sandringham room. We saw the others, and they all look just as nice!

We stayed here in early December while in town for the Blue Rodeo show. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. They really know how to make you feel comfortable. The rooms are beautiful and spacious and the entire home is lovingly decorated and cared for. They served a gourmet breakfast that just kept coming! It was delicious as were the pastries and treats they gave us to take home. Elena and Dom really enjoy what they are doing and it shows. We enjoyed talking with them and we hope to come back soon. We would highly recommend staying here. You will not regret it.

While on a business trip in the area, I enjoyed a delightful stay at this exquisite B&B with hosts Elena and Dom. The entire home is carefully appointed, the bedroom and private bathroom were immaculate and, along with genuine, heartfelt hospitality (and wonderful home baked cookies), Elena and Dom provided insights into the community and the history of the house and surrounding areas. What a great way to 'change pace', relax and re-charge for the next day.

We were lucky enough to stay with Dom and Elena overnight 2 nights ago. The room was beautiful with our own bathroom, access to refreshments and all the things you often forget at home (bodywash, shampoo etc). When we arrived (around dinner time), they offered us a coffee or tea before we headed out to dinner. Not only did we feel at home, but we felt we were family. Breakfast was the real challenge for Dom an Elena, I am gluten, dairy and egg free yet they were able to accommodate and share their recipes with me. My breakfast was gourmet. If we stay in Stratford again, we will certainly stay there.

What an exemplary stay we had last October at Birmingham Manor. The manor is beautiful and welcoming, not to mention the inviting grounds.

Our hosts, Elena & Dom's warm welcome, made us feel like old friends not guests. Their engaging conversation provided us insight into the Stratford area and it's highlights.

Breakfast was absolutely delicious and a delightful way to start our day! The biscotti and coffee were to die for!!!

Definitely the B&B to stay at in Stratford!

Great overnight stay at the stately Birmingham Manor. Elena was an excellent host offering information and tips on the area, and made us feel right at home. Our room was warm and stylish, and came with a private bathroom (a big plus for a B&B). Elena thought of everything, from an excellent supply of refreshments and toiletries, to the delicious home-cooked breakfast and personal touches. The collection of art and theatrical pieces made for very lively conversation. The Manor is the perfect location if you need to be near the theatre and restaurant district and linking our stay with the cooking class at the Bijou restaurant was brilliant. No qualms about recommending this B&B!

Room Tip: Rooms all have private bathrooms. Great plus for a B&B.
