“Warm and Welcoming”

Mary Lou and John are wonderful! To share their wonderful home with "friends," is beyond generous. The porch, the garden, the impeccably furnished rooms and ensuites, the living and dining rooms are , "home away from home." However, the generous gourmet breakfasts are divine.
However, John and Mary Lou are the true "gems" of Caversham House.

My husband and I can't say enough great things about Caversham and our hosts. We have nothing but praise for Mary Lou and John about our one night stay at their B&B. Our room was immaculate. Breakfast was delicious - especially John's granola. Delightful hosts. Our arrival was so welcoming, we felt like we were coming home. The B&B is within walking distance to downtown Stratford in a cute neighborhood. We will definitely stay here again and next time we will plan to stay for several days! You definitely don't want to miss this experience.
Thank you Mary Lou and John!

This was our first B&B experience and our first visit to Stratford. Mary Lou was helpful and friendly from the beginning and at our request made some great restaurant suggestions and offered additional help before we even arrived to Stratford. When we first met her, she was quick to make sure that we had our bearings and any maps, directions or questions answered, to make the rest of our day flow smoothly. The room (the Balmoral) was small but comfortable and the bathroom was the cleanest bathroom I have ever seen... ever! The location was perfectly situated between the theatres and an easy walk to everything, we never touched our car. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and included fresh baking and homemade granola by her husband John, fruits a plenty, and a breakfast entree. The visit was definitely elevated by the other two lovely couples that we met during our stay, who apparently come to stay every year, as do a lot of guests. Baden the dog and I are now good friends... if I could have snuck him away in my suitcase, I would have. We hope to return to Stratford soon and will definitely be staying here.

I have been staying here for at least six years and John and Marylou never fail to amaze me.

The B&B is located with within easy walking distance of all of the theatre venues and the wonderful downtown shopping/resturant district.

The breakfasts at the B&B are a joy, as is the conversation around the table

Room Tip: be sure to book your trip far in advance as the rooms go fast

We stayed 2 nights for our anniversary and were very pleased with our stay. The rooms are clean and cozy, the breakfast is delicious, and the location is great. We enjoyed visiting with the adorable and personable dog between the plays. We look forward to returning.

This was our first time staying at The Caversham House and it won't be our last! Amazing hosts Mary Lou and John made us feel at home with their friendly welcome! John's breakfast of homemade granola, pastries and pecan waffles was delicious. Location was perfect to Stratford theatres. Room was clean and comfortable. We would highly recommend The Caversham House to anyone looking for a home away from home!

In 5 days of eating the most magnificent breakfasts, I have enjoyed the best local fruits and meats as well as amazing granola and different baked goods each day. My last breakfast included fresh strawberries and blueberries, creme fraiche, home made granola, freshly baked Irish Soda Bread, corned beef hash with perfectly fried eggs and a berry crumb coffee cake. Yes, there was also tomato marmalade and fresh tomatoes in a vinagrette with fresh basil. Every breakfast was a feast! My bed was comfortable and everything one could ever want was available. John and Mary Lou are excellent hosts!
