“Charming Stratford B & B”
Reviewed 16 September 2012

My wife and I have stayed at the Ballantyne House B & B annually for the past four or five years during our annual visits to the Stratford Shakespeare Festival. This year we were accompanied by two friends, who, like us, found our hosts, Marlene and Ralph Robinson, to be most gracious. The home, like the vast majority of Stratford homes and Stratford B & Bs, is quite old, but impeccably maintained. The interior is beautfiully decorated. Marlene's breakfast are a culinary triumph. Moreover, the house is but a few steps from both the Festival Theatre and Lake Victoria.

My wife and I have attended the Stratford Shakespeare Festival almost every year for the past 50 years and have stayed in dozens of Stratford B & Bs over that period of time.

For the last three years we have stayed at the Ballantyne House, and find it to be charming.

The location is perfect, but a few steps from the flagship Festival Theatre, and yet in a quiet neighborhood. The house is immaculate and the beds quite comfortable.

Breakfast is a real treat.

Above all, Ralph and Marlene Robinson, the owners, are most gracious hosts.
