Decent, clean hotel. Great location, close to the Avon Theatre. No bed sheets provided for the pull-out and no overnight front desk staff to provide assistance. Nothing special in regards to customer service or accomodation, but is worth a look if you're looking for something average in a good location.

We had stayed here under the previous management years ago and did not return. Upon hearing from a friend that the whole property had undergone renovation we decided to try again and we were very glad that we did. My husband and I arrived and were greeted by a marvelous young staff who went out of their way to make sure that everything was perfect. They answered any question we had about Stratford and area, and took any guesswork out of the equation. We dined at the connected restaurant Avoca and had one of the best meals I can remember having in Stratford. The value and the quality made our Stratford visit a memorable one. We will not look elsewhere next year.

Long overdue review of delightful stay at newly minted Albert St. Inn. Have stayed at the property once before, then under different management, and was completely disattisfied. After learning of new management decided, when considering wonderful location, to try again, and we were not disappointed!! Lobby has been re-done, and half of the rooms have been completely re-decorated (other have to be done with winter..), with desperately needed new carpet. Wonderful group of young people who are experienced beyond their years in the business. Anyone going to Stratford who wish to be centrally located can't beat the combination of price and quality ANYWHERE in the city. Will make this our regular haunt on every visit back to visit Shakespeare!

We had visited the Albert Street Inn each July for the past 10 years. New ownership took possession this year and this is our experience. First of all, we didn't realize that the hotel had gone non-smoking. Two people in our party were smokers and received a rather snotty phone call the first night from the desk indicating that the room next door had reported them for smoking in the room. Instead of saying, "I believe I forgot to let you folks know that we have gone non-smoking when you checked in," she treated us like lepers. Secondly, there are only 9 assigned parking spaces adjacent to the hotel. For a $15.00 fee, you can reserve one of them. We were assigned to space # 8. Upon our return the first night from our first play, someone else was in the parking space and no others were available. We had to circle the public parking lot for quite sometime to wait for a spot to park. When I mentioned this at the desk the following morning, the staff acted like I was lying, indicating that when she came in the night before, there were three spots. I didn't argue with her and simply requested that the $15.00 fee be removed from our bill. We did not receive one friendly smile or kind word for the remainder of our stay. We used to love the Inn. The previous Innkeeper, Jerry, always talked about what plays we were seeing, gave us updates on the swan babies in the Avon river and was extremely guest friendly. We will seek alternative arrangements next year.
