“Quiet Bed & Breakfast”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

This B&B is located just a few blocks from all the major Stratford attractions - about equidistant from each. The owners are friendly, and very helpful when it comes to advising you on local attractions, plays, and restaurants.

Thank you for your comments regarding Acrylic Dreams. We agree that we find our location excellent on a quiet tree lined street yet so close to everything. All 4 of our rooms are quite different and unique with our 2 smallest rooms on the main floor and our rooms #1 and #4 on the second floor which are almost 3 times the size of either room #2 or #3. For longer stays we suggest having the comfort and spaciousness of either room #1 or #4. Hope to see you again soon.

You feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Your host and hostess; Karen and Jack know your name and show care immediately. A short walking distance for everything it was the perfect stay. Room was clean and quaint. Food was outstanding. Make sure to book Karen for a Chair massage. Karen and Jack are an integral ingredient to the overall positive experience at Acylic Dreams. Enjoy. Unforeseen vehicle problems prohibited early planning for our Stratford visit, and it wasn't until we were actually on the road that we tried to find lodging for what we hoped would be a three day visit. With the help of the Festival reservations, we were given the names of 3 B & Bs that met our criteria - close to theatres so that we could walk to everything. Driving a 23' motorhome caused trepidation to the first host we called, but Karen, from Acrylic Dreams, was not daunted and cheerfully booked us, confident that there would be parking. How delighted we were with our choice. Karen and Jack are gracious hosts, the B & B charmingly decorated, (including some of Jack's lovely artwork!) and, as promised, we were an easy walk from all of the theatres and restaurants. Breakfasts were delicious - and conversation with our hosts and other guests a pure delight! We were very glad that circumstances found us at Acrylic Dreams and happy to report that our three days were perfect - including the 4 fabulous plays we were able to see.

Room Tip: We had the charming suite - i think it was Room #1 - lots of room - very comfortable surroundings.

How beautiful to read your very kind review. We so enjoyed having you discover us and we were pleased that your extra long travelling vehicle could fit in our driveway with enough room for our other guests. How delighted we were that everyone interacted so well together and that you even gave tours of your very special travel vehicle. It was a privilege to host your stay in Stratford and we so look forward to your return.

Acrylic Dreams is a B&B that can be your home away from home at Stratford. It is a charming place decorated with inspiring artwork and comfy furnishings. Whether it is a mother-daughter theatre bonding time or a couples weekend get away, Acrylic Dreams is a better alternative to other accommodations available in the area.

My husband and I stayed for one night to watch a play at the Festival Theatre. Acrylic is within walking distance to the theatres and downtown Stratford.

We stayed at room 3. It's a cozy room with a tiny bathroom.
If you're a bit claustrophobic, then you may want to book the upstairs rooms.

Karen served an amazing breakfast that started our day quite well. So if you're staying there, make sure you wake up at 9 am to eat that meal!

We have nothing but praises to Karen and Jack as hosts. They have lots of recommendations on what to do and where to eat in the area.

We are so happy that you discovered us on your recent trip to Stratford and that you enjoyed your stay at Acrylic Dreams and Jack's wonderful breakfast served by Karen. Thank you for your comments. Next visit we hope that one of our larger rooms, either #1, #2 or #4 are available. Rooms #1 and #4 are almost 3 times the size of our cozy room #3. It was a pleasure to have you stay with us. See you soon.

If you're going to Stratford look no further for lodging.  Our room was very roomy, well appointed, clean and with great bed and linens. The location of the house is perfect for walking to either theater and downtown.  The breakfasts were scrumptious, setting was beautiful and our hosts were friendly and fun to visit with.  We will be back!

We are so happy that you appreciated your stay with us at Acrylic Dreams. Thank you. It was lovely to connect with you and see you enjoy different nooks and crannies around the place and discover and read some of our books. Brave of you to bike all the way to St. Mary's which is about a 20 minute car drive away from Stratford. We look forward to your return.

This is a very welcoming and well-located B&B. The hosts Karen and Jack are genuinely hospitable and friendly. The breakfasts are delicious and healthy. And the location is equidistant between the Avon and Festival theatres – little more than a 10-minute walk to each theatre through quiet and well-maintained residential neighbourhoods. This was our first time attending the Stratford Festival. If we’re lucky enough to return, we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again at Acrylic Dreams.

Thank you for your kind words. We both enjoyed having you stay with us. We also believe our location is ideal in Stratford on a quiet tree lined street walking distance to downtown and the theatres. Hope that you will be able to return soon. Yesterday, the Stratford Festival announced that some of the productions are being extended this season so perhaps you will be able to come back and see some more in 2014.

This B and B has everything going for it. The hosts Karen and Jack are welcoming and friendly and best of all are theatre lovers. We so look forward to connecting with them each year. They are knowledgeable about the performances, the restaurants and what's happening in town.
The location is in a lovely residential neighbourhood within walking distance of the theatres for those who like to walk. The room we stay in is attractive and clean with a fridge, wine glasses and comfy bed. The breakfast is always scrumptious. We will return there in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: Very quiet location no matter where you sleep.
