We have stayed at this hotel before when it was a Best Western. Now it is part of the Vintage Inn group and would have to say that service has decreased dramatically . Having stayed at Vintage properties, this one REALLY needs to come up to their standard. We had to have our "key" reset three times. The Gastro Pub's service is deplorable. We had breakfast one morning, the server kept coming back to be reminded of our order and still got it wrong. Wrong tea, wrong breakfast items. At dinner we waited more than one hour to receive our entree's. The server was very apologetic, I guess the kitchen staff were having issues. The food, when it eventually arrived, was delicious but we had another wait for desert. Since we had tickets for a show we were worried we might not get there on time, fortunately we just made it. The Stratford Festival is so integrated with local restaurants, thus the restaurants need to get their act together and make sure food is served to coincide with show times. We have another two reservations at this inn, hopefully service will have improved !!

It's unfortunate you feel this way. I can assure you this is not the standard level of service for The Parlour Inn or Vintage Hotels. I will be meeting with departments involved to rectify the situation. Please contact me directly, so that we may discuss in futher detail.

Our room was very nice and spacious with 2 queens, a flat screen TV with many channels, and a jetted tub. The front desk was very friendly as well. We enjoyed the Keurig machine and liked that there was an empty fridge in the room. The bathroom had the usual toiletries as well as makeup remover wipes (nice touch!). We would definitely stay here again.
However, we would not recommend the restaurant. We went to have the Pavlova dessert (my favorite!) at 5:40. We didn't have a reservation so they said it would be 10-15 minutes, no problem! We were seated at about 6:20 (not the end of the world since we didn't call ahead) and placed our dinner order, pasta and fish and chips no drinks or apps, right away. After nearly an hour had passed without our server stopping by or getting refills on water, we flagged down our server and asked when our meal would be ready. She assured us it would be ready soon. We got our meal at about 7:25 and had to eat it quickly in order to make it to an 8:00 show on time. We asked for the check as she brought our meal, but she did not return to pick up the credit card (or still refill the water). We stopped a host and asked for some more water and asked him to please process our bill because we had to leave. Because the meal took so long, we didn't have time to order dessert which was the whole reason we went there. The food was okay but nothing remarkable. I'm sure it would have tasted better if we had been able to enjoy it instead of eating so quickly.
Bottom line: Stay at the hotel and skip the restaurant. Go to Rene's Bistro instead-much better!

The hotel is tired looking but the rooms are a great size and the hotel is in a very convenient location. There is sufficient hotel parking. The hotel is in walking distance to almost everywhere. We did not eat in the hotel.

Went to see the Comedy Mystery Show at the Parlour in December. It was great! So funny! All of the actors were top notch! It was structured around the dinner and we all had a great time and a wonderful dinner as well. The service was excellent.

The hotel is beautiful. We got the king jacuzzi suite which was smaller than I thought it would be but still a nice room nonetheless. But the food was absolutely amazing. My only complaint with the food was the Yorkshire pudding was burnt. Would definitely return again.

The hotel is styled after older style of hotels but amenities are up to date. Nice large bathrooms and bedrooms are spacious. the staff is very helpful.

The restaurant is good. the locals talk about the restaurant as a destination for them at night. I didn't try it for dinner but has several people mention it to me.

very convenient to downtown, everything seems to be walking distance from this location.
