Everything about this B&B is perfect. Tastefully decorated, truely special breakfasts, and charming hosts. Michael and Anna could not be more helpful. We found our rooms (there were 4 in our party so we had 2) very comfortable...but they do plan to renovate one of them. It is clear that they are determined to continue to make the place ever more perfect. Anna's breakfasts were delicious, and each morning the table settings were delightful. She must have been 'collecting' for many years.
We plan to return and will book early so we can guarantee a place!

Room Tip: They have only 2 rooms with twin beds so if you need twins book early. Also one room on the ground...

We have stayed at Caledonia House for years and always enjoyed it. We have now stayed twice with the new owners, and feel it is even more gracious and enjoyable than ever. They have made many upgrades to rooms and amenities, and are lovely, thoughtful (but not intrusive) people. The breakfasts are amazing, and can be tailored for special needs. Rooms and baths are comfortable and charming. The grounds are lovely, and include a built-in outdoor swimming pool. Soft drinks and chilled water are always available. We hope to continue to come back for years to come.

Room Tip: I have stayed both with a friend--in separate beds---and with my husband. Caledonia House can accom...

And another year goes by and again we return to this comfortable and comfortable B&B. Anna and Michael are charming hosts and the discussion around the breakfast table each morning is always interesting and the breakfasts are delightful - keep us going all day. This year we had difficulty with our hire car which had to be replaced, but as we were off to a show when the replacement came - Michael took it all in hand and saved us a lot of hassle and stress. We love the Garden Room downstairs which adjoins the lounge.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Caledonia House while visiting Stratford to see Othello and do some Fall Foraging. I'm so glad that we decided to spend the night instead of driving home. We stayed in The Garden Room, which Michael had told me was due to be renovated. We found it to be charming and extremely comfortable. The bed was two twins pushed together with a memory foam to make a King and dressed with a cloud-like duvet and the nicest pillows I've slept on. Lying in bed, you can see the garden and the fall leaves coming down. The room was located on the main floor off the parlour and it felt as though we had the whole place to ourselves. We had a game of chess and some wine between the play and our dinner reservation and a nice chat with Michael on the comfortable couch.

The property is gorgeous with a heated pool that we obviously couldn't use since it was late October, and a newly built gazebo. The house, itself, built in 1872 is stately and charming. It really stands out as one of the most distinctive homes on the street. It was a short and beautiful walk to the Theater and our dinner reservation.

The coffee in the morning was fabulous and Anna's breakfast was delicious-- a strata of vegetables, bacon and cheese with English muffins, fruit and a warm fruit pastry. Michael kept our coffee cups full over conversation with the other guests who were funny and friendly. On our way out, they gave us some muffins and bottles of water for our foraging expedition.

The hospitality provided by Anna and Michael was exceptional and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again while in Stratford and would gladly recommend it to anyone. Next time, we'll have to book the balcony room and go when the pool is open!

We had the pleasure to stay at this great B&B where Anna and Michael made us feel very welcome!
The beds at this place will make you want to sleep in...very comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding . The breakfast table was really nicely prepared with lovely cutlery and plates...it was nice to be served vs 'self serving'. We will definitely be back . Very close to everything. We saw Fidler on the roof..which was outstanding !!!

This is a B&B, not a hotel. I was here for 3 nights, seeing a few shows at the Festival. Stayed in the room with a separate staircase from the dining room. It's big and comfortable, though the bathroom had only a sitz tub and not a full tub, so when the shower curtains were closed it was little tight when taking a shower. Also it was quite a big step to get over the raised side of the tub to climb in (it's on a small platform) -- not for people with any kind of difficulty. The bedroom is completely paneled in wood -- ceiling too -- apparently very Canadian, but not to my taste. The breakfast is a sit-down affair, not a sideboard where you help yourself. So that's both nice, and a bit stifling. You have to be served and there is a LOT of food, which is all very good, and they ask about your preferences the day before. the house is charming and sort of Victorian feeling, at least not at all modern. And the proprietors could not be nicer -- really lovely people and very helpful and sweet.

Just back from another wonderful stay at Caledonia House. When we made our reservation a couple of months ago, we really wanted the balcony room, where we had stayed last year, but it was already booked for the days we had in mind. Upon our arrival, Michael, with his customary sense of humor, announced "good and bad news". Good news? We'd get the balcony room. Bad news? Oh, just a joke, no bad news. The breakfasts are even more elaborate and delicious than last year's, the company just as interesting, the stay memorable. We'll keep coming back. Thank you, Anna and Michael.

Room Tip: The balcony room, of course. Watch the changing light, be it in the early dawn or at sunset, on the...
