I don't know why I have never stayed here before. Easy to find, right beside the old Baptist church on Ontario St. just east of Waterloo St. near the heart of the city. You, if a mind to, can walk to all theatres and many of the great restaurants. Parking is one spot for each room.

Kevin & Kim are marvellously welcoming and I developed an instant rapport with them.

This Arts & Crafts home is full of nifty architectural items. A stately house indeed with a huge dining room furnished with individual tables, one for each of the rooms.
The lovely large sunroom is wonderful for reading the provided national newspapers while enjoying your pre breakfast beverage.

I stayed in room #4 at the back of the house that has a fabulous porch in the ancient Maple tree overlooking the Zen like garden. Take the time to walk around the backyard. A lovely coy pond is the focal point and there are several seating areas and a fire pit.

Your room is made up for the day whilst one is at breakfast (more on that later) and there is also a nightly bed turn down. The ample bathroom is clean with plenty of fresh towels and a soap/shampoo/conditioner dispenser in the shower. Lots of hangers in the armoire along with an extra blanket.

Now, for those breakfasts. In a word; wow !
Kevin takes a lot of care planning his menus based on available local, fresh ingredients. Multi courses start with fresh fruit and his home made yogurt is creamy smooth and has a zing. Also on offer is a basket of croissants, bagels and any type of bread, from a nut to a rye. His Welsh cakes are superb and try a bit of his marmalade made with a dram of Bushmill's Whiskey, you can't taste the whiskey per se but it adds a dimension to the jam. Other home made jams & jellies are served as well as butter and a bowl of cream cheese.
Entrees can range one day from a perfectly poached egg on top of shoe string potatoes with a grilled tomato & pesto, smothered in home made hollandaise or perhaps a light & dainty brie soufflé or on another day an omelette with gruyere cheese and just right, blanched asparagus. His ginger & marsala cake is so moist and flavourful, you will be tempted to stow some for later.

I truly look forward to my next visit.

Kevin and Kim are very good hosts, with a kind word for everyone and great cooking skills. My mum and I stayed in the coach house and it was perfect. Beds comfortable, loft with just enough privacy to watch the game on tv without generating too much inconvenience below. Fridge well stocked, bathroom nice and warm, and the homely comfort of a hearth. Nice garden with wildlife: birds sang all day and I loved watching the squirrels crossing the garden and jumping from tree to tree. Breakfast was a feast every morning, thanks to Kevin and Kim. If you are looking for a nice place to stay, with people who know the ins and outs of Stratford, consider the Old Rectory.

Gorgeous spot, plush bed, clawfoot bathtub, gourmet breakfast, and lots of little extras like early morning coffee and a sun-room where you can relax. But the best part is the hosts--Kim and Kevin are so sweet, friendly, and knowledgeable not only about how to get around and have fun in Stratford but what will set their guests at ease. They are lovely people and great hosts! I was booked in here through work but I will definitely be back for pleasure!

The Old Rectory is in a great location, just a block from the main restaurant/shopping area in Stratford. Kim and Kevin are warm and welcoming hosts and they serve an outstanding gourmet breakfast. We stayed in the coach house which is very roomy and private. I highly recommend this B&B for your stay in Stratford.

We enjoyed our stay at this B&B very much. The house is lovely with a lot of charm and our room was also well decorated with a deck overlooking the garden. As soon as we arrived, we regretted that we were only staying one night. The atmosphere is very relaxing and the breakfast is both delicious and sets you up for the day. The location is excellent for seeing Stratford and going to the theatre. What makes this place so good, though, is the owners. Kevin and Kim. They really are the nicest people who can't do enough for you. They went out of their way to assist with anything we needed and clearly enjoy what they do. We really didn't want to leave.
