There is nothing fancy about this place but it's a good basic motel a there was no late night partying. I was surprised to see that there are both smoking and non smoking rooms available....you don't see that much anymore.t a great price. Parking can be a little tight but the room was pretty big with free wifi. There were what looked to be several work crews staying there but, as a result,

We stopped at this hotel for one night on our road trip to northern Ontario. For the rate we paid for the room, it exceeded our expectations. The room was clean and comfortable and had free Wi-Fi. The parking is right outside the rooms, we were lucky there was one free slot when we arrived (well past midnight - we called in advance to let them know we'd be late).
The only negative is there was a lot of vehicle noise from the traffic on the main road.
The location wasn't a problem to us, as we were only passing through. There are a couple of fast food places nearby (DQ, Tim Horton's) but we went to Gloria's for breakfast - which is not too far.

It's a motel right, not a hotel ! ! !

so where is the d... imperial fireplace???

no communal rooms, no pool, gym, breakfast room, etc . . . you park your car, get the key at the office (the complimentary breakfast is part of the office set up) walk across the car park, open your door and there you are! Very authentic, rustic but value for money.

Rooms were big and right in size for a 3 person family, water pressure and temperature great, ventilation working well, a little bit of a strange smell when entering the room (recommend a air - breath spray for the chambermaid!!), the complimentary breakfast was ok to start the day (you want more there are 2 Tim Horton within a 3 minutes drive), room was well cleaned and maintained,

Owners are living on site, so felt save and well looked after as special wishes as iron / iron board or additional towels / cloth hangers were no problem at all.

Would stay again as unbeatable for the price and a fun experience !!!

Room Tip: ground floor obviously

While heading north to visit family, we stopped overnight in Sudbury. We found the Imperial Fireside Inn online, and chose it because it was close to the highway and the reviews were good. We weren't disappointed. It's literally 5 minutes from the highway, which makes it a great location if like us you're just passing through. But it's in a very rough industrial area close to the railway tracks, so maybe not a good location if you're actually visiting Sudbury for an extended period of time.
The value for money equation is very good at this motel. The price was reasonable, the room was clean and well maintained, the beds were comfortable, the WiFi was free and the service was friendly. No issues at all.
Be careful in the parking lot however, since it's about the size of your average playpen. And don't be expecting any "amenities" such as flat screen TVs, swimming pools, fancy spa bathrooms, poofy armchairs or the like. This is good, honest, basic accommodation and we were completely satisfied.

Stayed here for a week. It's a great feeling knowing that the room was entirely cleaned, vacuumed and dusted on a daily basis. Fresh new towels. Plenty of hot water. Exterior entrance mats, walkways, parking lot were spotless, well lit and vehicles are in full view of the units. A great place to have a good night sleep.

I travel to Sudbury on business every couple of months or so and always found accomodations to be expensive. By calling around to all the hotels in the city, I came across Imperial Fireside Inn. It was one of the most reasonable. Everytime I have stayed there, the rooms have been very clean and comfortable. It is also nice welcoming that they remember me. I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in Sudbury!

I think this is my third time staying here. No bells and whistles, no marble floors or granite counters.. Just super clean with comfortable beds, clean bathroom with fabulous water pressure, flat screen T.V. with full cable to watch what you need. Owners are very friendly and informative. It's great! And towels are nice and soft! What more could you ask for.

Room Tip: Rooms tucked in the corner are quieter.
