“Customer Service At Its Finest”

With family still living in Sudbury, we have occasion to visit. We spent several lovely days at Christmas and now we are returning for a family wedding in August. Based on a rate I had seen online, I contacted the front desk and the online rate was honoured.

Thank you, Vina! We are now looking forward to our visit in August that much more knowing we will be staying at the Best Western Downtown Sudbury Centreville!

The positive... the guest services staff were very pleasant. However, the hotel smells like there was a flood and they didn't get all of the water out (smell of mold and mildew). The walls are paper thin, so when my tv converter didn't work, i listened to a tv show in the next room. The morning "free" breakfast" consists of few choices, cold breakfast tea and warm cereal milk. All of these wonderful choices next to a sink full of dirty water. When i asked why there was no hot water for tea or cereal, i was told that the night staff like to drink tea and used all of the hot water. If you get the misfortune of a room facing the street, you get to hear the street sweepers at 2:20am (it would have been quieter if i opened the window!). Bring your own hair dryer, the one in the room will over heat in about 30 seconds and the plastic will start to burn.

Friendly and helpful staff. Hotel hallways a bit dark and dingey, room was very small for a BW - perhaps because it was at the end of the hallway. The Indian restaurant(Little India) in the hotel is excellent. Nothing really to see or do in downtown Sudbury.

A great hotel with some of the best Indian food I've ever eaten! Fresh spices and complex blending of ingredients made this a very memorable meal. Everyone at the hotel is friendly and solicitous. They made our stay a pleasure.

Stayed for 2 nights just before Canada Day. In downtown business location which was pretty empty. Disconcerting to be right across from the Salvation Army and see many homeless. Room was very clean with pristine sheets but a bit small. Building has been updated some but hallways still old. Very noisy a/c unit. Got the impression not much staff on hand for such a big hotel; just a front desk clerk (helpful) and one housekeeper. Kudos to the city for the nice memorial park across the street. However, I would only recommend this location if you have business downtown. Definitely not for families. Pitifully small parking.

This wasn't the best experience I have had at a Best Western. I think the whole stay just started with a bad experience which was finding the hotel and then parking. Finding the hotel was no problem but I went to pull into the parking area beside the hotel and almost got into an accident (not the hotels fault but I was already not liking the experience). So I get into this lot and its full. I parked there anyways and checked in. The hotel staff was ok, friendly enough I guess but in my mind was back at how am I going to get my van turned around as they don't leave any room. It would be good if they had a 15min parking spot or two on the street as you park across the road from the hotel. Room and bed are good. Wifi is pretty slow. I couldn't stream youtube which is disappointing and cable channels are limited (or at least a few shows I was trying to watch I couldn't get).
The complimentary breakfast was ok, boiled eggs, toast, waffles but fruit was limited to apples.

So to sum it up room was good, staff Ok, Breakfast... i'd rather go out, wifi poor, parking ok once you know where to go. I would think about giving it another chance as the price is good. Cheaper than the Holiday Inn I usually stay at (was fully booked when I made my travel arrangements).

Stayed at this hotel for two nights and we don't have any complaints. The staff and service was amazing; the breakfast provided is very adequate. You won't go hungry. The location is close to everything which is fantastic. We will definitely stay there again.
