Comfortable, clean with good AC. Average speed wifi. Rooms a tad small but bathrooms decent size. Friendly helpful staff. I would stay here again. It is a ways from the main part of the city but the nearby Tim's makes up for it.

I am glad my friends and I chose to stay at Moonlight Inn. We booked the suite which had a room in the front with a bed, tv, couch and kitchenette and there was a separate bedroom in the back with another tv. The rooms were very clean, recently renovated and the front desk staff were courteous and very helpful. They had great recommendations on where to eat, and what to see when in town. I loved that they offered free continental breakfast, it was very convenient to have something to eat before heading out for the day. The location was very quiet and I liked that you are only minutes away from the mall and restaurants. Will stay here whenever I visit Sudbury. Thanx for an amazing stay!

NEVER EVER MAKE THE MISTAKE I DID, BOOKING A ROOM WITH MOONLIGHT INN
- When you check in they get you to sign a form in 12 pt font that they are not responsible for any loses of any kind. Now I stayed in a lot of motel/hotels and never seen anything so forward.
- Yes they have 42" TVs but also an eye Velcro to the bottom of it pointing to the bed, very creepy
- She told me it had to be pointed at the box, but the box is behind the TV, after she left I turned the eye towards the wall, the TV worked fine, so it's your call, I know I have never seen anything like that
- Then I go to use their high speed Internet they advertise, better read the agreement before you sign on. They will tell they are going to track you, put cookies on your computer, find out what kind of computer you are using and the list goes on very uncomfortable feeling. Not that I surf porn sites it's the fact of privacy, I called the office and they told me it was for my security, asked them if they ever heard of https// the s meaning secure, so I did not use their Internet I do have personal files on my computer.
- The restaurant across the street they tell you about serves lukewarm coffee I ordered a club with fries. The club came with dark bad tasting turkey I only ate 1/4 of it, and ate 3 fries, they were not eatable. The inside of the restaurant needs a complete make over. They still charged me 18.50 for their road kill lunch I did not eat.
- This motel is far from anything so take your chances,

I would like to take the time to clarify your concerns. Guest registration is standard at all hotels and motels across the globe and in Ontario where it’s the law. Our apologies for being so forward but we must inform all guests about motel policies so they are aware of their rights as a consumer.

Concerning the new flat screen TVs, CRTC mandates digital boxes on all cable TV sets across Canada, equipment is provided by our cable supplier Eastlink. The digital boxes are mounted to the back of each TV to make it aesthetically pleasing without being in the way. The great thing about this is HDTV in 1080p with over 100 channels is now available in all motel rooms.

Regarding the internet; it is a similar acceptable use policy Tim Horton's uses and in airports with free WiFi. All internet providers have a policy of acceptable use and it is standard practice to inform every customer. All prior guests at the Moonlight Inn, that have used the internet service provided, haven’t had any concerns in agreeing to the standard WiFi hotspot terms and conditions. The use of a WiFi hotspot allows for easily accessible, secure and faster internet service.

In regards to your comments about the Chateau Guay Restaurant next door, in which we are not affiliated with, however, from our guests and the local community I've only heard great things.

The Moonlight Inn has been renovated with modern rooms and front desk with a new continental breakfast and meeting room. By increasing the amenities, the staff and management at the Moonlight Inn can take pride in providing guests visiting Sudbury with Value and Comfort Accommodations.

This is a bare bones motel. No tub. Very old. Good breakfast. This is not a pet friendly hotel. If you are looking for a quick place to stay and not planning on spending any time in room, definetly a plus. Not far from the big box stores. Would go back.

Room Tip: Ask if it is pet friendly.

Dear Guest,

We were very pleased that you found our hotel a decent accommodation. The management sincerely apologizes for ways we have failed your expectations. But, the hotel is currently in the process of continuing evaluation for improvement. Rest assured that your stay with us in the near future is better that before.

As for your issues about your pet, we strictly implement a no pet policy to secure the welfare of all our guests and their pet. We do not have facilities for pets, so pet is not yet allowed. But, we are currently planning to build a secured facility for guests who will have their pets with them during their vacation. We will be glad if you choose us again during your visit in the town next year.

Your Sincerely,
Hotel Manager.

We visit Sudbury fairly frequently to see family, and almost always stay in a motel. We decided to try a different place than our usual stay since we had had a bad experience at our regular motel the last time we visited. We picked Moonlight because it was cheap.

The price was great - under $150 for 2 nights, and they were flexible with our check in/out times (we arrived mid-morning and left mid-afternoon on the 3rd day).

We liked that we had a couch as well as the bed & mini fridge for snacks. However, there was a coffee maker but no coffee and the office had no supplies.

It was relatively clean, but not impeccable (probably was cleaned after the last visitor but not recently) and there was no bathtub, only a stand up shower (which was nice though - and big enough for two!).

Our biggest complaint was it was so far from everything - even shopping and restaurants were a good 10-15 minute drive, and our family was almost a 30 minute drive, even though they live in town! We had to plan our entire day when we left the motel, as it was a pain to come back to get something later in the day. we pretty much left in the morning, and came back at night after dinner. However - they do advertise on their site that Tim Horton's is within walking distance - and it is! The restaurant & tavern advertised next door was really sketchy looking though.

Also - a free continental breakfast was advertised - which was donuts and muffins in the office from 6-8am. Good thing Timmie's was close by!

Room Tip: We were on the very end - nice and quiet!

For any one requiring a long stay or short stay for medical reasons It was the best rate I could find. Motels closer to the Hospital their rates I could not afford. Family owned Motel offering single, double rooms and suites some are non smoking. My room was equipped with a bar fridge, microwave, TV and free internet, Air conditioning, queen size bed which was very comfortable Shower with sit down bench which was a bonus for me. Contential breakfast included.
Located just past the 17E bypass on th Kingsway.Easy access to the Kingsway and the by pass. to hospital you choose.
This family owned/run motel should not be overlooked. The family is friendly and most helpful in every way. My stay was for 3-1/2 weeks. .Will definetly book time here again if needed

If you are in the Sudbury area for a geocaching adventure or to do some shopping, and are looking for a clean, comfortable room that does not cost you an arm and a leg, try the Moonlight Inn. My wife and I stayed there two nights in May while I did some geocaching on the nearby "NOG" caches and she did some shopping. The room we had was quite large and was as well equipped as other hotel rooms we have stayed at in the larger, more expensive places around Sudbury. Motel is located on the east side of the city, but not far from major shopping centers and good restaurants. We are planning another geocaching/shopping trip soon and hope to stay at the Moonlight Inn again. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Wireless access worked well.

Room Tip: An older motel that has undergone renovations and I think is under new management. Not sure if all t...
