“Feels Like Home”

Stayed at Kaylee's quite often over the last few years, and it always feels like a second home.Gary loves every aspect of running a B&B, and it shows in the cleanliness, meals etc. It's centrally located in the Bay-Algoma area, just a short walk to The Hoito, Madhouse, and several other restaurants in the area.Always look forward to staying there when in Thunder Bay.

The price was right ($70), the location was great, the residential area was relatively quiet, the space was pretty clean, the breakfast was good, BUT smoke wafts up from the private residence area and permeates everything. Some people might not be bothered by cigarette smoke, but we are and the smell at this B&B was a big enough issue so that we won't be going there again and I won't recommend it. Which is too bad since it has so many other positive aspects. We continued to travel after a 2-night stay at Kaylee's, and our clothes smelled strongly of smoke. For us it was very off-putting. The owner is also quite chatty. Some folks may like that personal interaction, but others might not. Handle it how you will, but just know to expect detailed stories.

Room Tip: Rooms 1 & 2 have queen beds and more space. Room 3 has a double bed and has less space around th...

This small 3 bedroom b&b is located in an ideal location. Only a couple of blocks from the Bay St./Agoma historic district and within walking distance of downtown and casino. Gary, the owner is very affable and quite a character. Prepares an excellent English breakfast to order in a lovely dining room. Rooms are small but comfortable. The only negative is the fact that there is only 1 bathroom for 3 guest rooms to share and the mattress was too firm for my taste. The rates are extremely reasonable..
