Brought my fiancé here for his birthday and it was an amazing experience. The restaurant is in a slightly odd location but the building is unique and the interior environment is very cozy. Upon entering, you head down a flight of stairs and then you are greeted by their hosts.

As you walk through the restaurant, you'll see their displays of beef, wine and other things they use to make their food. They have very cozy seating areas with tables and chairs or booths for larger parties.

Through research before I took him, I read that their Caesar salad is amazing because their dressing is made from scratch in front of you by your waiter - very true!! The making of the Caesar dressing is a mini-show in itself and definitely worth the price.

Their steaks are good, but I know I have had better in Alberta. This restaurant would be a great location for a special occasion, not a typical night out due to its price.

Had dinner here last week with some friends for the first time & enjoyed it immensely. The Caesar salad made table side was excellent as was the beef. We tried 5 of the sides and they were all very good with the truffle fries being my fave - go figure. I'll definitely be back whenever I find myself in Toronto again & I'd highly recommend this restaurant; you will likely even see a few stars, as we did on our visit!

I've generally found steakhouses in the Americas to be underwhelming, regardless of the price. Usually one gets a piece of meat thats pretty generic and frankly not that flavorful, but with a chunky price tag. This is absolutely not the case with Jacobs & Co, where our party each had a different raised/aged steak, each of which exploded with flavour.

The sides are also great. The duck fat fried fries (if your British, this trick is well known to produce great roast potatoes) and the baked potato were to die for, while the heirloom tomatoes with feta were also excellent.

The wine list is very pricey with only a couple of bottles of Californian Cabs under $100 and most in the $200-500 range (so marked up 300-400% on the retail price). Thats typical of the UK and so it wasn't a surprise.

With a Caeser salad to start, a chocolate cheesecake to finish, and friendly and very knowledgeable staff all through, it was an amazing dinner.

The reviews are bang on for this steak house. Salad made table side, which is traditional. The steaks are priced from 38$ (filet mignon 6oz) through to 400$. Various salts and flavours provided to enhance experience. In saying this, meat is cooked to perfection and requires nothing. We tried the creamed corn and mashed sides, both very good. Extensive wine selection. The service is impeccable. Many thanks to Challah. Make a reservation, we received last table bar side on a Wednesday at 5:30. Muffins provided for breakfast following day.

Best steaks we have ever had! Excellent service, great atmosphere and a huge choice of steaks up to Japan Kobe Beef.
Price is high, but what you get is excellent quality and absolute worth it!
