We got to the club on Saturday night and the Salsa band was playing real good Salsa. The club is not particularly big but I think it is well organized so there is a desent place to dance. The only negative I would say is, that there aren't many places to sit down. You would have to arrive early or book a table as there is not much sitting. However, having said that it was a pleasant club with good music to share with friends. Good DJ playing good dance music when the band was off stage. You would have a good time. Age range that could be see is 25 and older.

Wow, what a lovely evening we had on this very cold day in Toronto. The "Lulu Lounge" lets you travel to Cuba and Brazil via their food, live music and salsa dancing.....Our children had reserved a "package" for us to celebrate our wedding anniversary that included dinner, live music, salsa class and salsa dancing. The chimichurri was very good and their redsnapper served on a bed of polenta and sauce outstanding and the music.....the jazz trio of "Carlos Bernardo" super. And then came the fun fun.....salsa class followed by the real "show" - salsa dancing on live music.....Wow, what a night! We soon will do this again and come with friends!

This is my 5th visit to Lula and we went just for dancing this time. On previous occasions we have had the dinner and dancing package for $49 with a pre-fix menu and it was great. If you don't do dinner then cover is $15

The salsa lesson starts at about 9:30pm and is for beginners who want to learn some basic steps or to warm up prior to the night starting.

Over time it has become more popular for stagette parties (which concerns me greatly as I hope this will not turn into another El Convente Rico)

The live music is wonderful and the band give it its all.

Two minor issues.

1. almost every song the band plays is really long, which is challenging for beginners and some intermediates as you are stuck with a partner for a very long time and if they are a bad dancer, can feel even longer. So wish some songs were shorter.
2. Tip for dinner and drinks is automatically added even on an single bill and is about 18-20% despite the service and I am a firm believer that if the service is not good then I should not be forced to Tip.
